@Robochobo: Actually it "piqued" your interest. It didn't "peak" it.
You know... I used to dis tablet/phone gaming pretty heavily but TBH, since then I've gotten an NVIDIA Tegra 3 based pad.
It has 720p HDMI output, hardware 3D, and supports a Dual Shock 3 via bluetooth natively. I can play Shadowgun and Dead Trigger on this thing on the go and then hook it up @ home and play the same software console style at home. I can play multiplayer online games like Modern Combat 3, etc. I only pay for the apps once and many of them I can play on my...
Then by all means continue not to buy them, debbie downer.
Uh no. I can't honestly think of any single tech device that really took off because it was cheap and then the software came. It was always "look at this exciting new gizmo and what it can do" and then shortly after someone made a killer app (or the number of AAA apps on the system reached critical mass) and BOOM. It's never been hey I'll buy the Gameboy because it's CHEAP. It was hey I'll buy the Gameboy because it has TETRIS!!!
Sony needs to us...
Awesome games. Wish they would have included a code for the PSP Peacewalker just on principle, though, so the Vita would be comparable to PS3 version content wise. Once they get PSOne classics online I'll be able to rock MGS1, too.
LBP PSP was a great game for the PSP but with a native Vita version coming real soon now, I'd just hold out for the native one.
There is a huge difference between gamers (the people who drop major money on high end gaming hardware and AAA titles) and people who do or have periodically played games. As a lifelong "gamer" it is my personal suspicion that any data that says it is an even split is painting way too broad a stroke with the data.
It's like claiming everyone who drives a car is a car enthusiast.
The fact that this does not include even a voucher for the PSP version of MGS:PW is kind of off putting, IMHO.
Sackboy not cute? Watchu smokin?
I sure do. Syphon Filter is may be my fave PSP game. The second one is already supported but I'd love the first one to get added...
PS1, Youtube, Comics Support, an Email app. Do you want me to go on? I (heart) my Vita but the firmware updates have been a bit slow/unimpressive, IMHO.
I'm away from my PS3 on an extended assignment for work with no PS3 and only a Vita :( Does anyone know a way to mark these as bought via my account remotely (via PC/WWW/Vita) so I can D/L them later? I tried remote play but it can't find my PS3 via the internet.
If not, how long are these up for?
Yet people complain that an entire Vita, with Multicore CPU, two touch surfaces, cutting edge display, dual analog controls, WiFi radio, Bluetooth transceiver, etc, costs $250? LOL!
Day ONE, baby! Can't wait to see this and more titles like it in a portable format. The Vita is the only portable unit capable of delivering an experience like this due to its hardware and controls.
WTG callahan say it with DATA. :) I totally agree but I do admit it's hard not be impatient for new stuff since the system is clearly capable of greatness. I'm sure glad I got one so far, though.
Because Blood Omen Legacy of Kain is just as awesome today as the day it was released. (Along with a bunch of other titles)
If it means I get the game on both systems for the price of one, I'm willing to call it whatever they want! :)
LOL. It's been out for what? Like, what? Two months and people are crying for price cuts and expecting it to have sold millions at this time of year in this economy?
Sony's in it for the long term, baby, I'm glad they're running the show. Some video game fans don't have the stomach for the Business is War long term thinking that Japanese companies play.
Queueing haters: 1... 2... 3... and GO! LOL @ N4G COD hate. Get over it. If you don't like, don't buy. No one is forcing you.
Re: AC3 and COD.
One problem with those is that there's gonna be full PS3 and X360 versions of AC3, the exact same game, and there will be a new separate but similar console version of COD coming out right at the same time. TBH, I'm not going to buy the PS3 version of AC3 for $60 and then turn around and sink another $40 into it just to have it on the go. I will probably get both COD titles, but I can see a lot of people thinking "I don't need $100 worth of C...
