I wouldn't call it over rated, it just doesn't appeal to a lot of people. Lots of people (including me) like the cinematic experience that MGS brings. If you don't like it, I respect that. But for the fans that follow the story and know what's going on, it's one frickin amazing series.
EDIT: Reading your recent comment, I see your point. But in some cases, the only way the story can progress is through cutscenes. Since MGS4 wrapped up the series, they seemed to cram a lot of st...
but the Star Wars video game franchise sure as hell did! Listen Lucus Arts: I don't give a rat's ass about your new, crappy IPs. The only shot at redemption for the Star Wars franchise at this point is Battlefront 3. PLEASE make it happen!!!
It's pretty much a fact that they're working on it, but it IS a PS3 exclusive and it DOES need a sequal. It left off on a cliffhanger, too.
You can never be sure about these things. You may think one company will win, but the other may pull something big out and steal the show.
But for my prediction, I would say that Sony will make the best impact at TGS simply because the Japanese audience won't be too intersted in what MS brings. Then again, you never know what MS could do...
I here ya. Even though this game looks epic, I'm not gonna buy a PSP just for it.
But I'd rather see some gameplay instead of some info. Then again, any news is good news at this point. I hope whatever it is will be big!
It's been long enough as it is.
But seriously, if at least one part doesn't take place in Vegas, that'll be a little wierd...
Now imagine what the improvements from Uncharted 2 to Uncharted 3 will be!!! Hard to imagine that it could get better!!
I totally forgot about Ninety Nine Nights 2. Yeah, they'll definitely show that one.
I wouldn't say that it's one of the BEST video game songs, but it's great for DMC. The beginning sounds like the song When Worlds Collide by Powerman 5000. Perfect combat music for DMC4. And then the ending brings out the serious, save-the-world-and-don't-back- down side of the game, which let's admit, is very little in the series. The hardcore battles and the egotistical, rebellious attitude of Dante is where it's at!!!

I couldn't agree more. I just played ME1 ov...
WOW!! This, Alpha Protocol, Uncharted 2, and Ratchet and Clank all in the same month? Holy @#$%!!!
On topic, this looks extremely good! Like I've said before, this will be the sleeper hit of 2009.
If you're talking about DMC, I'd say this one is the best: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I gotta say, it was one hell of a song to start the game with. Just the scene itself was pretty cool.
Yours is a good one, too. DMC surprisingly has a pretty decent soundtrack...
Just sayin'
lol!
Yes, it indeed makes the experience that much better. Have you listened to the end credits song (M4 Part 2)? It literally takes all of the epic sci-fi awesomeness of the entire game and adds a slight hardcore element to it that just works out so perfectly. But it sounds much better if you're listening to it during the actual credits after you beat the game instead of on the soundtrack. That's what makes the end credits song in any game/movie great, knowing that you beat/finished it adds that ...
Also M4 Part 2 and the opening theme was brilliant!! Such a great game and such a great soundtrack.
And sales don't make a game. A game doesn't usually sell because it's a good game, it sells well because of the 1. Hype behind it and 2. The fanbase behind it. Look at games like Shadow of the Colossus. Did it sell well? No, but it was one of the best games for the PS2.
And personally, I'd rather play all of those other franchises. Why? Because they're more fun IMO. Maybe it's because I'm not the biggest FPS fan, but nonetheless sales shouldn't matter at all.
Maybe I can actually get some new 360 games!!! The only ones right now that interest me are Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, and Halo Reach. The announcement of Gears 3 and a new good IP would make me happy. Just get some AAA's out there, because Sony is kicking your ass right now!!
Killzone 2, Infamous, and Batman are the only ones I really care about. Why Infamous didn't make it is beyond me...
You're not as stubborn as some of the people on this site. And at least you're a fan, too. It makes it a lot easier to get my point across! :)
