Well it's about time. They needed a good wake up call because the way they were going was right into the gutter. They still have a long road ahead of them because Sony has biblical momentum iv their side right now. Even know the witness already uses 5 gb of ram? They say the same thing at the start of every generation, that developers won't even come close to needing all this power. They have definitely showed improvement. They are changing policies for the better and showing some decent games. It's too bad that they had to be dragged kicking and screaming in order for this to happen. They still have a lot of work to do but their past history of starting off strong and then giving up still scares me.
