Snake was only not on the list, because it was too obvious.
Journey is an amazing experience, and just because the gameplay isn't sophisticated, doesn't mean it's bad. It works, and fits with the visuals and narrative. It is the best game I have played this year. The Walking Dead is a close second, which is another game that doesn't rely on gameplay to make it good.
Dark Souls, Killzone 3, and Dead Space 2 were my favorites among the ones you named. I haven't played Cathrine, but I want to
They could make Bioware write at least a decent ending. The one they have now is so bad, I pretend it never happened.
Thank you for correcting me in a civil way, I didn't know that. But I was thinking of Patches the Hyena, because he's in both games, and he is a bit comical, so nobody has to worry about anybody's image getting ruined.
I'd rather a Dark/Demon's Souls game from Atlus being represented in this game. Just an opinion.
I expected Walking Dead to flop. Even the first episode didn't convince me. But after I completed it, I'm convinced it's GOTY hands down.
I was looking forward to this movie, but not anymore. The story is nothing short of stellar, and actually fits in with other stories of Greek-Mythology.
As a Ps3 gamer, not owning an Xbox 360, this news saddens me. Metal Gear Solid is the best story in video game history, and it is not fair that they get teased with #2 and 3, but never get to play 1 and 4. It's just not fair at all to them. I get that exclusives are important, but Playstation has plenty, let's let them enjoy this wonderful experience.
How reliable is this?
I disagree with you. This game had a large pool of characters to pick from, and it is sad that characters like Nathan Hale, Wander, and other 1st parties didn't make it onto the disc.
This game is amazing, but the only reason it is GOTY material is because, well, no other game released this year is, other than Journey. It's great that two downloadable titles are the greatest of the year, but it's also sad because it left something to be desired from the other games. Walking Dead's story is probably the best in gaming, but it's bugs and lackluster gameplay keep it from being a AAA title.
I'm probably in the minority, but the ending of Killzone 2 was the best in a FPS (aside from Spec Ops: The Line)
This isn't Hollywood either. It's Reddit.
I couldn't bring myself to attack Zeke at first, I just couldn't. I sat there in silence and disbelief for a good minute or two.
For me:
Metal Gear Solid 3/4 (It's a tie between the two)
inFAMOUS 2 (Bad ending)
Heavy Rain (Tears in the rain ending)
Portal 2 (When that companion cube came back, I actually stood up and cheered)
Spec Ops: The Line
Killzone 2
Dark Souls (No game can get me that angry)
Not true, this one guy on Youtube did "Killzone Intercept" and it was quite good.
If I break a plastic one out of rage through games like Dark Souls, how will this one ever survive my house?
You got an instruction manual? :( it's a huge pet peeve of mine when games don't come with one
Favorite PS2 game. It's a shame to see that this game was so close to being in my hands
