This is ridiculous. The fact that the 360 version is getting a higher meta critic score, despite being worse in every area. Wow....

If some people haven't opened their eyes to how the media works in this industry, this should be your clear reason why you should start to. This is so blatantly obvious, even the worse xbox fan must see how biased the North American media are and how far the Microsoft dollar can go.

An SD version versus an HD version that provides twice ...

"the 360 game does a pretty good job of staying at the requisite 30 frames per second."

Even if that was true (it completely isn't), the 360 game is half the size, a quarter of the resolution, and half the quality of the PS3 version. The PS3 could run the 360 version locked at 60 FPS.

Xboys pay 60 dollars to play betas of PS3 games. You guys call it "timed exclusives", we call it guinea pigs who get less value for their money.

You wouldn't understand HaloManiac, it's called a "game". PS3 users get a lot of them.

Unfortunately you are limited to the 3FixMe, which has no games, so it is understandable that you don't know what one is when you see one.

Socom + Zipper = Greatest Multiplayer experience around. It's what Halo fans pretend to be experiencing playing their kiddy game, or the multiple re-releases with a different number at the end and next to no major changes.

I've recently been playing quite a few Live Arcade games, since you can get any of them for free when you play on a dev kit. I'm currently playing Splosion Man.

I'm curious about your comment, can you provide any details on this? Which games do it, and to what degree. Since I've never seen it used in an XBLA game demo yet, but again, I've had no reason to play demos.

Zipper making Socom is freaking huge. The console multiplayer kings are back working on the Socom franchise. Freaking awesome.

It takes a week to fix XBOX Live issues that affect every user. It takes a day to fix a PSN connection issue that affects a small amount of users playing specific games.

I guess you don't get what you paid for...

"I agree! it is extremely funny......that ps3 fantards are so butt hurt that halo reach r4pes KZ2 graphics and gameplay. "

What game were you looking at? Killzone 2 makes Halo: Reach look like a Wii game. You must be mad. Even though Killzone 2 is a year old, and Reach is at least half a year away, it looks worse than Killzone 2 in every single aspect. You better hope that Bungie can get into the HD era before you start making such grand claims.

MAG has spoiled me. I can't go back to crappy games like Halo: Reach

How many players does this game support online? 16? That just doesn't cut it any more.

If you take out the DS game (handheld), in the top ten console games the majority of them are on the Playstation 3.... and this is just America, the 360s strongest and only noteworthy territory. Pathetic Microsoft, give your customers something to play, even I'm starting to feel bad for them.

6 - PS3 Titles
3 - 3fixMe Titles
1 - Casual Title (Wii)

Domination, imagine how the Playstation 3 is doing in the rest of the world, where Microsoft doesn't stand a ...

Bungie is a sad pathetic individual. Since he owns a 360, the closest he can get to a good video game is to read the stories online of Playstation 3 games. It's pathetic, the poor kid wanted a video game console, but instead received a toaster, even worse is the fact that the majority of people who received this toaser might not even be able to turn the thing on (54.2% FAILURE RATE).

And Killzone 2 is alive and well. MAG is loaded with players.

You need to stop talking out of your ass. Halo the kiddy playground isn't anything to be proud of. Heck, of course Halo fans haven't moved on to other games, they are scared of change. Just look at how little changes Halo has made over the years.

Halo:Reach looks just like Halo ODST/Halo 3, which looked basically like Halo 2. The gameplay also hasn't really changed.

PS3 users have more games ...

The target market for the PS3 user is adults with jobs.
The target market for the 360 user is children who live off their parents.
The target market for the Wii is not being a gamer.

Of course people with jobs will play less hours.

Unfortunately, surveys don't mean anything. They probably conducted this test in the US. Imagine how different the results would be any where else in the world. Not to mention, if the people surveyed do not own all the systems,...

There is only so much change a franchise can take, before you do the franchise and the fans surrounding it a disservice by not changing the name. People were captured by Square for their Japanese style and story telling. No one wants another dry soulless Western RPG. Square thinks broadening their audience is only possible by trying to please everyone, but pleasing no one. It just doesn't work that way.

Some games are still trying to compete with the original Uncharted.

Games like Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, God of War 3, The Last Guardian, etc. are bars some developers just can't REACH.

And if they are not releasing it for the PC or PS3, they are doomed before they even start.

It would be a waste of resources, since they are usually covered. Besides, out of all the games that would slut out females, Heavy Rain wouldn't be on the list. The game is about realism and human nature, not about anything related to "Dead or Alive".

This is the only way to get a positive PS3 article out of Kotaku... it needs to be something perverts are attracted to. It also needs to appeal to a mass virgin audience (which makes reading their comments even funnier).

Have you guys ever actually been to a conference where these joke bloggers are allowed in with the real journalists? There is a running joke that you can tell the difference between a journalist and a VG blogger because a blogger almost always fits the stereotype...

Killzone 2 is the clear winner, a game that is now a year-old. The budget was immense, but luckily they will carry the technology ahead to future projects. The technology is being spread to other developers as well. That's the beauty of having so many developers under your belt like Sony, any money you invest in a project aids more than just that project.

I'll give your article a read tomorrow. It's late here.

@Shadow

You pretty much are bang on. Killzone 2's character models was their weakest department, but they are still impressive. It just goes to show everyone how strong Killzone 2 is as a title, when it's weakest assets are what 360 developers are still attempting to live up to.

Killzone 2 was released a year ago. Halo Reach isn't coming out for some time. Now consider the year head start. You have to come to conclusion that the 360 is still 2 years behind the offeri...
