Actually it means there is a larger quantity of quality titles on the PS3 than the 360, as such the sales are distributed across more games.
As for the 360, they are spread between Halo... and that's about it. Also, multi-platform titles like Gears and Mass Effect had some sales.. 3 franchises.. 1 exclusive franchise.... pathetic.
Well, I've seen people around here say that there are 30+ million 360s out there, but it's a fact that the majority of them don't run. So when you consider Microsoft is the only platform that goes by shipped figures, and that they shipped out 3-14 minimum 360s out to everyone who has one as replacements (and counted them as sold...or as the other platforms would consider them "shipped")... well it's semantics really.

In other words:
360 Version - Limited due to inferior disc drive and specs, content removed
PS3 Version - Strongest specs on the market, superior disc drive format, all content made it into the game.

Microsoft paid for the timed exclusivity because they are afraid of releasing their unfinished beta version near the stellar PS3 release.
Unlike the 360 fans who look forward to a single game the whole year (Multi-Platform titles, no exclusives at all), the PS3 fan has multiple quality titles to look forward to each month, and then on top of it, the PS3 also has all the important 360 "exclusive" releases also released on their system.

You should thank Nintendo for that one. Since Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance sold extremely poorly on the xbox, I didn't imagine any xbox fan would care for Rising. It isn't like it is comparable in any way to the stellar MGS4, and Kojima isn't working on it.... so who cares?

That's complete BS. Gears has some of the worst people I've ever met on live. I've had back-to-back-to-back games filled with these stupid little annoying kids. Half the time you can't tell whether it is a guy or girl, since half of xbox live hasn't hit puberty.
And playing on PSN offers much more competitiveness than on live. Xbox live is just too easy, since kids have no tactics. They wouldn't survive a second in a game like MAG, or even Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2.... well any P...

Gears 1 was pretty good. Nothing original, but it was a solidly built game. Gears 2 on the other hand was a pile of crap. I'm still playing Gears 1, I refuse to touch Gears 2 ever again.
I'm an old school Unreal Tournament player. I migrated to Half Life for awhile, but Gears brings back some memories of UT... again, Gears 2 on the other hand highlights every problem wrong with Gears 1 and exaggerates them to a level that made the game a huge mess.
