I do understand where you're coming from. Just I always think if we never had these hackers, or any thieves for that matter, then there'd be no need for cyber security or anything like that. If we were all honest people than everyone would be fine and never worry about their stuff getting stolen.

Worthless?? You get to play some extra games for free. Who cares how long it lasts?! Oh and the KZ3 DLC that will still be on PS+ (when it goes back up) will be yours to keep. No re-subscribing required. The only things you can't keep is the free PSN game and the cloud storage. Everything else is yours forever. There is a bunch of stuff people will get right off the bat from their free 30 days, no strings attached.
Well considering the KZ3 DLC had only been on PS+ for like a week before the breach, I'm certain it will be on for at least a couple more weeks.

The PSN being down hasn't stopped me from playing Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat these past 2 weeks. I'm sure when I pick up Motorstorm tomorrow I'll have no problem enjoying myself regardless of whether the PSN is down or not.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Trophies are for self-gratification and a way to keep track of your accomplishments. It can also give you an idea of your friends gaming habits and compare them to yours.
