3080 for me, most likely with an aftermarket cooler since they're coming so soon after the founders. That should run stuff like CyberPunk really well at 1440p.
Interested to see how much raytracing has improved
Yeah I see the processor used in that test isn't ideal, would have been better to see a more current one.
Either way though I'd be a bit upset paying out on such an expensive GPU and getting that kind of performance at 4K.. It's why I'd rather 1440p high hz, at least you're pretty much guaranteed good minimum fps even if you can't maintain 100+ using a high hz screen in the more demanding games like this.
So you're telling me this video is fake? https://youtu.be/ctmzO6DByd... granted that's with a 2080S, but i don't think a 2080Ti will do much better given how close they are.
Games are only going to get more or just as demanding, I'm still sticking with 1440p for a while longer because of that.
I have a feeling this game is going to run not that well even with high end graphics cards at 4k, a 2080Ti runs the new Flight Simulator at like 30fps maxed out at 4k..
That's partially the reason i went 1440p high hz, i think games will run much better with a higher end upcoming 3000 series card and mostly maxed out gfx settings.
Looking forward to a 3070/3080 for that 1440p high frame rate goodness. Zen 3 is right around the corner too, good times for hardware lovers.
As long as it doesn't delay or mess anything up with Turtle Rock devs B4B game
While this isn't on my list of upcoming games, i will likely get a new 3080 GPU so may give it a go to max it out at 1440p for them high frame rates.
I'm more interested in seeing B4B by turtle rock, and that hasn't even been shown yet!
Hmm i wonder if Nvidia had a hand in this with their new GPUs being so close to release.. to show off how good the new raytracing is, hoping there's a big boost.
TBF these games are always fairly easy to run, i had a DIRT game bundled with one of my GPUs before.
I really liked the Tiger Woods games on Xbox, the guys doing the commentary were funny as well. Wonder if this will be like that
Isn't the series x like a 2080 GPU? Or so they say, likely because Nvidia got lazy with perf improvements with the 2000 series. Rumours are that the 3080 will be 20% better than a 2080Ti which is much more like it.
Meaning a 3080 card will likely be at least 40% faster than the series x graphics chip.
Anything with a 3 like a new L4D i would expect to be a huge difference over the current game, i mean they cut stuff from the first 1/2 games so even they should have had more than what they released with.
Should mean even higher for those with good PCs then, good news
Not sure why people seem to think 60 is a gold standard, even 90-120 feels and looks quite a bit smoother than 60.
I wonder how much RAM this game uses to have 32GB as ideal spec, I have that but this is not a game I'm interested in tbh, though it would be amusing to play with a flight stick for a little bit
There's less than a 2ms difference between 165fps and 240fps.. the biggest difference is from 60 to 120fps, from 16ms to 8.
That's why i went with a 1440p screen, best balance of speed and quality IMO
The most difficult thing can only come from software sides, or if you're new to video editing etc, understanding certain things like studio RGB and computer RGB can be a bit confusing for example. Other than that actually putting a PC together isn't very difficult, obviously first time builders will take longer than those who know how.
The image looks really similar to my setup, Asus TUF x570 board, Noctua NHD15 and Gskill ram and a 3700x which I'll probably swa...
They did a lot of work on a new L4D and never finished it. Though on Steam database if you check L4D2 it's frequently getting updates privately, which doesn't make sense as they already said they aren't working on a new L4D, unless they are hiding it.
They have a habit of working on stuff and not releasing it, which is now very evident.
Buggy ass website, can't even click on "Read the full story".. and as usual this is clickbait rubbish, they don't even mention consoles.
In fact Gabe has said before that he didn't like the walled gardens that consoles have. Each to their own, either way i guess they will release their games on consoles, i wouldn't play them tho as i much prefer keyboard and mouse as well as high refresh rates for any kind of shooter.
Well I only said 1440p is because you're going to get much better minimum FPS at that resolution, which IMO will be needed for upcoming games like CyberPunk. There's already a handful of games that hit 30/40fps with current cards maxed at 4k.
Personal preference, I prefer higher frames
