Nintendo made a bunch of great consoles, but they really should've tried to be so close to XB1 as a base with the Switch though, third party support wouldn't have been any issue then. People who say "Doesn't matter, it's powerful enough for Nintendo games" well yes, but how much better would it sell if it could play major third party games on the go like RDR2 or GTA 5? I think it might be a mistake charging for online play as well, how many titles do Nintendo expect ...
Well they made a new movie based on the original series just last summer, so they might make another series with the original (and best IMO) characters.
Not at all. They only stopped making consoles to ensure that they wouldn't go under at the time, they aren't in bad shape financially at the moment.
Yeah i mean people saying "It's a handheld (or portable), what did you expect" type of comments are not good excuses for its lack of power.
I'll get one but not at launch, that price is just stupidly expensive for what it is. And paid online, no thanks.
That's not a good excuse, look at the 3DS - Vita, yes there was a release date difference but not by a huge amount. Vita was noticeably better in hardware terms.
I'm no fan of any company because I'm a PC gamer, but i know full well if Sony released a handheld hybrid it would be quite a bit more powerful and only cost a little more. I don't have anything else to say except i think Nintendo are getting Ideas from greedy Apple.. that's enough to put me off.
It won't be a true 4K 60fps card, even the stupidly priced Titan isn't a 4K 60fps card. They will milk and milk for a while, you'll be waiting another 1-2 years for a GPU that can run the newest games with little/no dips below 60fps at 4K IMO. That's why I'm staying clear of it for a while.
Not sure I'll bother personally, but honestly the x70 cards are always best value for the performance you get. The x80 cards are usually a small boost over that and pricing starts to get silly, it's one of those diminishing returns things. Titan cards are a huge rip off, and then the x80Ti cards are usually a fairly large boost over the x70 cards without being too silly with pricing.
Saying that I thought my MSI Gaming 980Ti was expensive when it came out, and it wa...
Yea but there isn't a huge difference with what you're saying there, consoles CAN be optimised better, but they only squeeze a bit more than a PC can. Go look up Digital Foundry when they built a PS4 beating PC. Basically the regular PS4 uses a lower end mid range GPU, you only buy a model slightly more expensive for your PC and it will beat it.
Been the same with Nvidia vs AMD, the 980Ti was more powerful than the Fury X.
980Ti stock 5.63 Tflops,...
Anything at 980Ti level or above struggles with 4K. 4K is only good for playing older/less demanding titles right now if you want a solid 60fps.
GPU's to play games with little/no dips below 60fps are a bit off still. 1080p/1440p with 120/144hz are the sweet spot, the high hz makes a large difference to smoothness in any game that is moderately/faster paced.
I guess it's always a possibility that they hope to get back to making consoles again and have a ton of great games for it, would at least explain why they are doing so little with all those good titles under their belt currently.
I thought the MegaDrive version was hard enough.
7/10 IS a good score, don't care if anyone disagrees.. in my eyes you can just say that 7 people out of 10 liked the game in that case, meaning only 3 disliked it. Simple as that IMO. 70% = good, 7.5 between good and very good.
Some blind folk thinking anything with a 7 rating isn't worth bothering with, again.. and that is usually pretty subjective too. That's why you see game/movie ratings some people give a 1 or 3 rating for silly reasons, and others give 7&...
Right, and the developers who said it equals a $900 PC were wrong, the PS4 Pro uses an under clocked RX 470. So you can build a more powerful one for that money, with 16GB of physical RAM to boot. Sure PS4 Pro is great value for a console for the level of performance, but if you spend a bit more above $900, like maybe 200-300 or so more, you get a LOT more performance for that extra cash. You need to aim for that sweet spot when buying PC stuff.
My 5820k, 32GB DDR4 & 98...
Maybe, but then it means they wasted time even starting development on the Wii U if this is true. So that means the game likely won't reach full potential on the Switch. I mean IF this rumour is more than likely true, that is.
Put off buying the Switch already.
If it's true then i guess it shows the Wii U is holding back the game maybe, in any case i am really put off with the Switch.. Not even sure I'll bother getting it now tbh.
Good, hopefully they do it properly with no forced motion controls. I'd like to see the same with Pilot Wings as well and some others.. Hope they bring back a bunch of Snes classics and do them justice.
Well KF1 basically started the whole thing off, so it knows what it's doing.. The game will get a lot better when they introduce more zeds & bosses (variety) as well as the extra game modes, there's quite a lot more stuff coming to the game and i look forward to it.
True, they should hand over the rights to Playtonic.
When 4k is only just starting to be playable on PC with high end GPU's, if wanting 60fps in some games? Not likely, games will run like utter crap for a long time at 8k when 4k hasn't even fully stretched it's legs yet. Then 4k 144hz monitors are coming out this year, they would be much better.
For TV's 1080p is also fine, even Linus reviewed a 4k set recently and said there isn't a big difference. It's all a distance thing, sit a normal/average view...
