I could not agree with you more about purchasing DLC. Guess it's all we can do to protest against DLC tactics
the amount of subjective treatment towards capcom is a little out of hand. I guess capcom really irked consumers too much with their DLC strategies.
Do you watch fighting game streams?
Are you basing what you said strictly off of that one moment?
I am a member of the FGC and this is bs how the community is being generalized and lambasted. Do more research, watch more streams (OTHER STREAMS), then after watching for a bit can you make a judgment
Let me make one thing clear. Aris does NOT represent the fighting game community at ALL!!
He is one person (sub-human) who opened his yap and garbage spewed out.
my friends and I in the FGC did a face palm when he dropped those comments.
Why would you judge a community based off of what ONE person said? Please do not generalize a community like this. It is just very unfortunate that it happened to be on stream
probably the most anticipated game being released this quarter (ME3) has DLC on day-one! What's the difference between on-disc DLC and day-one DLC??
in capcom's defense, they actually have a legitimate reason for having DLC on-disc. The reason being: When DLC is released for SFxT, if a person who opted out of purchasing dlc gets squared up against an opponent using a dlc char, they will be able to load the char.. how else can they play against that char?
...
Guys, this gen has been going on for what, 5-6 years now? Maybe I'm a little jaded when it comes to hearing about DLC, but it's obvious that publishers/devs have DLC planning/releases throughout the development cycle. It's foolhardy to think that DLC is always planned post-release.
I'm not defending capcom or the DLC business model, I am just a little puzzled as to how gamers have not realised this yet. Get used to it guys!
Actually, it is capcom developing headed by Ono.
And in an interview, Ono stated that the Namco team is helping tremendously with development suggestions etc.. There's a lot of respect between both companies towards the other
haha, haters will be haters
keep it coming capcom! I'm waiting to see how UMVC3 will flesh out..
nov 30th can't come soon enough
clearly influenced by the capcom hate train..
silly article considering that each new sequel brought forth new mechanics, characters. Not to mention that they had no means of releasing DLC pre-2005(6)
And how dare he declare HD remix to be a useless installment. It was well worth the $15 on PSN/XBL
I was seriously disappointed that they did not include character specific intros. It doesn't affect gameplay, but it's something that I love to see
I find that the story is well done. The problem lies in the dialogue interactions between the characters, and the scenarios.
I mean, come on, did anyone find the scene with Meryl and Johny in ACT-5 (you know, the one where they're blasting away hordes of enemies while having a heart to heart conversation) to be good writing???
People need to wake up and realise that MGS4 had some serious issues with the writing
One of my most anticipated games of 2010
He plays like a douchebag. I want to see him run up buildings, do some elbow drops... if I played prototype like this guy I would be bored out of my mind
The game looks well done, beautiful CG and in game graphics, but I'm worried that the combat will be a little stale.
Seriously... No need to even think about it
That was probably the best trailer EVER for a video game imo... Done very well with the writing, casting, music, and the game looks FANTASTIC! My new most anticipated game has just been declared
Hope you guys know that they are making it a third-person shooter. I was hoping to see a Turn-based strategy game done right on the current gen consoles.
Disappointing to say the least
Was really looking forward to those 2 games being on the list
Dido brother, first thing that came to mind too. Especially after seeing SF4's success.
I can understand only allowing the TPC control scheme for online play.
However, it would be more accessible to people who just want to play with some friends. You really do have to be accurate with your movements, and it takes some practice. Say I have a bbq (perfect game for bbq's imo!), and someone that has not played with the TPC wants to have a game. They will get frustrated with the mechanics and give up.
All I'm saying is, give the choice to the user
Totally agree with this! I'm pretty content with everything coming out too! If you are into RPGs, you should look up xenoblade chronicles too (Wii) as well. It has received a score of 92 on metacritic.
Except for ME3... I'm going to hate on the ME3 because I can!! lol
