I understand your support for MK9...
But your complaints about the other fighting games....
I'm already annoyed by the 'too cool calm collected stoic' protagonist. Prove me wrong Suda
Our imaginations helped to flesh out the 16bit sprites (started playing RPGs in SNES era). When the dialogue of old school games was not the greatest, Our imaginations created and established character relationships. The hand holding was not so forced and I remember spending hours trying to figure out where I was supposed to go after being sidetracked with airships and open worlds.
We, the gamers have aged. But it appears that the cherished genre merely waned and faded int...
I'll take that bet!!
Too many other good titles being released in Q1.
I'm probably going to grab this at $40. Shouldn't take more than two months for the price to drop
Once you and Rico bust out... Pandora's box will open
Hit the nail on the head there.
Give this man a raise!!
I would have to disagree with the author lumping Dishonored into the list of bad examples. Actually his reasons for applying HL2 to the good ' example list justify Dishonored's Corvo to be in the same category. Just my 2 cents
Can't believe the amount of disagrees this guy is getting..
So they used a few images of FAN gatherings as inspiration. And they used ONE image of a zombie from the show as a template.
Mob mentality at it's finest!!
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, screw the devs and their shoddy product, but this article is grasping at straws here...
Yeah, it`s probably a fine line that prohibits creativity going out the door.
Although, when AC3 sells 7mil, Halo does 4mil exclusively on XBOX, and COD still trumps all, I can only see investors leaning on such products.
Hopefully, after receiving so many diluted sequels, gamers will begin to speak with their wallets by not purchasing the same Dr.Sholls shoes!
The Ocean Media debacle, and the amount of memes it generated was truly epic. A real train wreck, much like this one!
``i wwebsite as on the internet``
I remember Dead rising being one of the first next-gen games that received a lot of advertising. They made it to the zombie race much before most of the cash-ins today
Should make the header, "shitty zombie games are going extinct"
I would like a good zombie game please

He may simply be referring to the system mechanics, and maybe some of the story elements. Although the hand holding tutorial part does irk me a tad.
Honestly, I appreciate the mysterious and vague lore of the Souls' series, but some clarity on the world may help to enrich t...
I do see what the author is saying in this article, but the author is maybe a little misinformed on the very topic being discussed.
"But then, when asked to elaborate on superior games that on the PC, they only touts graphics cards and 60 fps this and X times resolutions that, and mouse and keyboard is superior blah blah blah"
This is one statement that I would like to refute. The PC is home to many games taking a different approach to gaming. You...
I'm with you! DLC gouging was pretty awful, but they're not the only publisher responsible for such actions.
Theyve made and they still make great games and I hope for the best. I think they finally realized that there reputations been tarnished and will learn from their greed
Best read ever would have to be #6 on that list... I guess I must have missed all the drama with the holidays and all
still, a VERY entertaining read. Do yourself a favor and check out #6 on that list!!
haha many people will disagree with you on that one :)
I do agree that this gen feels "tainted" in a way, but its natural that with the evolution of a business comes the necessity of a guaranteed return on investment. It just be difficult to go against shareholders that own a large stake of your company.
I'm just playing devils advocate here
But the dlc gouging and unfinished games being pushed to release this gen has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I pray for our future as gamers
Calm your balls broski :)
I agree with the article, the HUD really takes away from the immersion since you're spammed with objectives, HUD related things and various other distractions.
DmC, Dragons Dogma, SF4, UMvC3 were good games IMO
