Hey man, nostalgia is a drug. Roberts is laughing all the way to the bank.
@Abrial Wing commander series was a looong time ago. They HAVE NOT aged well. In fact i hate to say it but they were very simplistic games, only known for their cg cutscenes with mark hamill.
He is trading on nostalgia for $$. Nothing wrong with that, just don't get your hopes up.
Lost in the shuffle.
People just buy the same stuff over and over rewarding sloth... dumbed down twitch shooters where you unlock endless junk to mask the shallow, repetitive gameplay.
Exactly. It's the same vanilla FPS whether you play it on an Xbone, Ps4, or a PC. The graphical differences are cosmetic. This fixation on superficial graphics is inane and counterproductive.
Have to agree with you despite being a PC gaming master racer.
Stupid stuff like showing off a pointless resolution that most people would never even notice is what gives PC gamers a bad name - as elitist, socially inept drones.
Alot of pc gamers are just empty men who need to validate themselves with constant reference to their consumer purchases. You can dress up a game like Bf4 all you want but its still a boring, obsolete shooter.
Grap...
Battlefield series has gone straight vanilla. It is just a call of duty wannabe, and it could have been so much more.
Won't touch this after the drek of Bf3.
Innovation has never really been a Japanese 'thing'. They punish failure so harshly that nobody wants to take any risks; in America it is okay to fail, banks will still lend to you and people will still have confidence.
And if you do succeed in Japan, you just sit on your laurels, do the same thing over and over, and stifle anyone or anything that could upset your status quo.
Check out project reality mod for BF2. Blows any other military fps out of the water.
Actually, looking at many of the PAX attendees, there is very much that can, and has, gone wrong with a diet of processed carbs and fat.
With stilted 'story' games like last of us, theres not much difference between watching and playing.
When 'news' becomes paid advertising you have this...
Just going in circles.
Why do they waste so much effort on single player.. the single player for Bf3 was abominably bad...
What is even more disturbing is that there is actually a discussion about objectification of a computer generated image in a software toy for consumers.
It is already an inanimate object. Speaking about 'lightning' as if she is a real person opens more doors leading to mental illness and pathological white knighting.
'Does the fleshlight pro objectify women?"
"The only reason they are ________ is because they can make more money."
You ain't MBA material.
Children like toys.
It's Halo with a different character designer
Alot of middle aged men are walking into a nostalgia fueled disappointment.
All you have to do is look at Chris Robert's track record since wing commander to understand what you are getting sold.
