Apparently mobile gaming is all anyone plays in Japan.
I don't want to play devil's advocate but for all we know there could be nothing on that headset. Makes a good video for getting investor $$$.
Then they could farm out the work to third parties or allow the valve staff that wants to still create things develop them under license. Valve would a cut of the profits and not have to divert attention from their glorious, wonderful, much needed steam box.
Notch has the cajones to stand up for what he believes. I never cared for minecraft but I give him respect for drawing the line with facebook.
I applaud this firm stand by this Notch fellow. There is nothing good about facebook.
Try pilot hunter. You can really take your time and play tactically, even use sniper rifles. Try it on Nexus map, its like hunting wabbits with titans as bloodhounds.
Just run it on one, you will get 60+ frames maxed out
Looking at the individuals in this video I see incompetence and distraction everywhere. Forty million dollars so a bunch of adult children can play around with 3d Studio max and buy top shelf coke the rest of their lives.
They used to. It's a cultural thing, games are seen as a 'loser' past time in Japan now, only 'Otakus' play core games.
Every time I have to sit on a train or a ferry surrounded by hundreds of grown men and women playing these awful toddlerware smartphone games, I want to start fires.
Excellent point. Most of the crap on N4G is straight from the PR department. This is actually a gaming site that could be entertaining.
Actually, the girlfriend dropping was rather unnecessary. Shock has a point.
Have you even played it? The bots are basically just cosmetic.
All the smart money is moving to low budget 'indieware', sniffing the success of minecraft, dayZ, spelunky, and starbound.
The triple AAA titles cost too much to make, plain and simple.
But most of these indie games are very shallow or gimmicky... ugh not much of an advance...
The games industry is so unstable, with no long term employment guarantees, where the end of a project means having to find a new job and move with your family somewhere far away.
How could they do this to a successful talented team? Just because Ken wants to make casual 'indie' budget games with a higher profit margin than a big budget AAA title?
Yeah, that must be it. The money you get for making 2d low budget pixel garbage that you can play throu...
This is like a therapy session for consumers, jesus christ its disgusting
Its fun. Believe me.
Sour grapes?
Sorry, most people play games to have fun, not to be esports MLG pros.
DOTA 2 is just a clusterf*ck of force staffs, blink daggers, and BKB's, the meta is totally broken and stale.
If the player is doing something amazingly difficult or near impossible, then maybe it can be interesting.
But most lets play videos are just garbage people watch so they don't have to pay for games. I skipped thru a lets play of Last of Us, and it was basically as if I had rented the game for free.
And the players are usually AWFUL and rush thru the game trying to post it as fast as possible to get view$.
If something has an art department, then it is not art.
