There is a Wii U centered event occurring on September 13th in NEW YORK, folks. It lines up with the ~2 months advance notice we got with the Wii, and 3DS, regarding price and launch date.
Also, why would they NOT launch it November 18th?
It makes the most sense, I don't know why people are running scared because they don't know for sure...
I'm curious about the playtime on the Trilogy edition...
That and Skyward Sword (took me 70 hours...though I might have left the game running at some point).
@Silent Negotiator
You think he doesn't know that?
Ahaha.
From his statement I think he was being sarcastic...
Maybe unrelated, but what does everyone think of games like Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, & Darksiders II,
games which in current gen iterations...were wrought with bugs and such.
I've heard that Razor's Edge is seeing special attention,
what do we think about Darksiders II?
They sure gave PC gamers a lot /s/.
Iwata has gone on record saying they learned their lesson from the 3DS launch, in terms of launch titles and pricing, and will have a price point that represents a great value to the customers. They want to keep it at at high value price for a longer period of time, as it represents quality and promotes its appeal.
This is always what I thought "contracts" in Black Ops should have been.
(Also, I do not even owned or have ever owned that game, btw)
A challenge from your friend, a wager, to do something truly outrageous.
This has me excited.
I bought my friend a legitimate copy of GTA IV...
And games for windows live insisted that it was pirated, and the game was wrot with drunk shaky camera, for no reason whatsoever...
"By default the PS4/720 will be ex more powerful then the Wii U, due to the Wii U actually being on pair with the 360 and PS3."
So basically you are starting rumors based on rumors.
Your logic is undoubtedly flawed, my friend.
Does everyone seem to forget what this current gen's launch titles looked like?
Sure they seemed good at the time, almost as a placebo affect, maybe (new console = must look better).
I just wish they tried more to change that image (though obviously stockholders may not want that, but also since zynga and social gaming is on the decline, they might want a hxc focus). Like, did they really have to put off showing Project P-100 (working title) and instead show us 10x more NintendoLand? And also have retro pull the plug on their wii u debut showing?
@freakazoid2012
After working in retail @ toysrus, our shipments come in regularly on Fridays, so it's easiest to have friday and Saturday to organize and stock, then release on Sunday. At least in the U.S.
@HCG
Well that's just like, your opinion, man.
I totally agree. I hear everyone complaining and saying, oh I won't pay over $299 for something that's "ps360 version 1.5" (in terms of graphics) and what they fail to accept is that if you want the goods you gotta hand the $ over!
I'll pay $349, even $399 for a more powerful console, and I make $8.25 an hour at my current job...
So I don't think Nintendo would be aiming to high to go for that.
The Vita is AT LEAST $250.
That's what he meant...
*facepalm* I think he's confusing "Skewed and Reviewed" with something else.
If Iwata doesn't know, then neither do we.
I wish we would all stop speculating and assuming rumors are fact.
I just remember Sony (specifically, Andrew House) saying that they weren't going to REVEAL (not necessarily release) a system,at a press conference like E3, until it became something that would wow the audience.
Still, I say more power to them to put together a beast of a system.
If it wows me, I'll buy it!
Not sure if you intentionally came up with V4 (yes they DO exist, I know)?
Just a gearhead who wishes you had gone with inline-4.
Assistive cores?
Not trying to argue.
But the way you described what we know about the UNANNOUNCED AND UNCONFIRMED successor to the Xbox 360, it just sounds like Sony's Cell Processor.
What I think we will see in the future is that for the systems to try and do everything the other one is doing, it will just make everything too bland and generic.
What the "720" will do, will have no bearing on what the Wii U or PS4 will do.
History dictates it will be the Sunday before Black Friday.
Also, if the console is $299, you have a bargain.
If it's $349 you have a more solid confidence in the console's longevity, or value.
If it's $399, you have higher confidence in its longevity and power, though it may be too high an entry point for Nintendo's desired sales numbers.
I however, am intrigued enough by the console's concept that, as an early adopter, wi...
