Not to be off topic, but I like the way Nintendo of Japan has listed the display resolutions on the back of the box, 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720p, 1080p. It actually goes in ascending order of actual pixel lines ! This also means that it will be "upscaled" to 1080p to some extent, ala, 99% of games this past generation.
D-oh!
You forgot Red Steel 2.
The most you'll pay is $9.98 in the bargain bin.
So glad they paid someone to do this, it's such an essential part of the system, but not one that you think of immediately.
Also, everyone should listen to the Mii Maker track.
Around 30 seconds there's a very strong Legend of Zelda vibe going, and then it transitions to the classic mii music...
or Super Mario Galaxy?
I have no idea, it's perfect.
very classy.
Also, a game "being" better than another is one thing, a game "looking" better is another. I heart my "better games" over shiny turds.
Well, yes, if developers put as much work into optimizing their titles as SCE Santa Monica & Naughty Dog.
How about everybody just doesn't break their stuff?
Nintendo shouldn't be to blame for a consumer's clumsiness...
As will the iPhone 5S over the iPhone 5.
Because they release at least a year apart.
Why does everyone seem so impressed with themselves for figuring this out...?
Umm what? Ram does not equal hard drive flash.
Wii U 8gb/32gb flash drive, ps3/360 has...well too many iterations to remember, (16gb, 20gb, 160gb, 250gb, 320gb, 500gb)
Wii U 2gb ram (1gb dedicated for OS & 1gb dedicated for games), ps3/360 has 512mb each, except ps3 limits 256mb for system & cpu, then 256mb for gpu, while 360 uses 512mb shared amongst OS cpu & gpu.
Well they can really only sell as many copies as there are WiiU's, right?
Tech revolution isn't a yearly prospect, it's always happening, provided we have people working on it.
You wanna talk power and specs?
I guess not.
Just tech babble, right?
Nintendo has stated that running games on a home television and 2 WiiU GamePads would be limited to 30FPS.
No limitations on the home television's resolution were set in that scenario.
Now strictly speaking numbers here, in terms of pixels,
1080p (1920x1080) alone is 2,073,600 pixels
720p (1280x720) alone is 921,600 pixels
480p (854x480) is 409,920 pixels per GamePad screen.
Now rendering and doing everything else for the t...
Ha. Price cut in 3 months? Nintendo is trying to turn a profit.
Girl, please.
...yeah, because everything Microsoft said was worthy of our precious time.

^grasping at straws, yo^
I almost imagine that Other M should have been a 3DS title.
It's 2.5D perspective (most of the time) and fixed camera angles seem ripe for 3D gimmicky goodness (not hating on 3D, I just don't know what to call it).
Lol I actually used 854 x 480 ...
Yay for being smart, everybody wins, I guess.
Atta boy, rational thought :)
It's 158 ppi btw ;)
Square root of (pixel width squared plus pixel height squared)
Which is then divided by diagonal length (in inches)
It's still a respectable screen, though, pixel density wise.
It's about 158 ppi.
Compare it to these : http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
It's more pixel dense than an iPad 2 screen and a few pixels shy of where the iPad mini sits.
By no means Retina, sure, but nothing to be laughed at as shoddy.
This controller also ...
Yeah I had a hunch this would be interpreted as "hurrdurr 1080p lookee"
I'm just saying most of the time I see it as 720p, 1080i, 1080p.
Instead of the order I stated.
And yes, you and I both understand the definition of "ascending".
Good job.
