Not until 8p EST? What the heck.
Witcher 3 struggled on PS4. So I'm not sure how a Switch with a far slower CPU and far less RAM is going to do it. Unless they cut something out. I mean even if it only supported 720p, I just don't see it running well. Especially once you started having a lot in your inventory.
Yes
Yeah the NPCs lack of fear to rush past you in order to flank is a bit broken. I love the AI in the game for the most part. But that is just downright broken. And it requires going to hunt them down so they're not sitting behind you. And at higher difficulty levels, especially on console where turn rates are lower, you can't always take them out as they try to get by.
1) Remasters should not be a staple.
2) Remasters that actually improve the visuals can still happen. Since while backwards compatibility could involve some upscaling, it does not massively improve what is already there.
$499 is a good price to me if it's as "high end" as we're getting leaks for. I'll gladly drop that extra $100 if it means a console that can truly be an improvement. CPUs have always been weak in consoles and a Zen 2 CPU will change that. And if that 24GB RAM claim is somehow true, whooboy. That would be amazing since it'd clearly mean 16GB for OS and games and 8GB for frame buffer to push 4K graphics.
Are we supposed to feel bad for a situation game developers forced us into more than the other way around?
Both the PS4 and XB1 had custom "exclusive" elements to their GCN GPUs and CPUs. The same will be the case for next gen.
Could they have gone with an alien race? Sure. But I thought all these entitled millennials wanted to be able to identify with their character now. Now they feel entitled to get a character they can't relate to?
STFU and let them make the game. If you don't like that the character is human, don't buy the game.
@Smokingunz
No. Hardware takes years of planning. With Microsoft already set to announce their console as well at E3, they can't go back to the drawing board and adjust. Otherwise they would have done that with the Xbox One once everyone found out the PS4 was more powerful.
The consoles at this stage are what they are.
Just take more time guys.
Sadly though patents have been granted for general concepts without any specific implementation. Look at the lawsuits around phones where rounded edges were considered patentable.
We have to prove we don't care about gender by caring about gender!
Yeah not gonna happen. Unless they force it to be so. Not as many women are developers or want to be developers. Forcing equal representation on development teams means you are ignoring possibly better qualified men for the sake of hiring women. That's just reality.
They haven't with Battlefront 2.
It ran fine on PS4 Pro. What little of it I got to play. I'd say framerate was the least of the game's issues this weekend.
I believe they're referring to the Primary PS4 trick where you can log into a friends console with your PSN ID, set it as your primary console, and then they can download and play your games on their PSN account while you also play them on your PS4 while logged in with your PSN account.
But that's not tied to PS+.
They already have Blu-ray discs that support higher capacity, the PS4 just doesn't have a drive that can read them.
And @Profchaos: $7 a disc to us yes. But in bulk by the millions, probably a lot less.
Discs and downloads. Cartridges are too pricey.
I could see a 500GB SSD in the base PS5 with possibly a higher tier model at 1TB similar to how the PS3 launched. SSD prices have fallen a lot so it's possible.
Can't go download only because, as I've said numerous times, you then shut off a large portion of the world from gaming.
No it's really not.
