I think that's the point. That many don't have a gaming PC capable of playing it. Or even if they do, they don't have a VR setup.

@Neonridr - Absolutely. Anyone who says one or the other isn't worth it's salt is just a dumb fanboy. Either one is capable of great gaming. Pick your platform and play. Measuring epeens is just ridiculous.

@Monkeysmoke,

You're still limited by what the GPU can draw and fit in memory for the scene. Draw distances will likely be higher, but not unlimited. Texture pop-in should be minimal if not eliminated though.

But there's no performance penalty from the decompression since it has dedicated hardware (for both systems). So EFFECTIVELY and IN PRACTICE, you're getting 9GB of data a second.

Yes but then they have to pay for licensing for every console sold.

@crazyCoconuts

I think there was a mix of both. He's right that it's hard to code workloads to run in parallel. But clearly GPUs are doing that already and GPUs with a lot of CUs are faster than those without. Now yes there are examples of lower end GPUs being overclocked to be nearly as fast as higher end ones with more CUs running at a lower speed. Which will help make up some of the difference. But ultimately yes, the XSX will get more effects or more stable...

Absolutely. The difference between the two also shouldn't be as vast as the difference in hardware between the base PS4 and base Xbox One. There difference there was 33% on the hardware side with only a 6% clock speed increase. Here it's 30% on the hardware side but with a 21% increase in clock speed.

Will the XSX be faster? Yes. Will I care? No. I was a major Xbox fan for the Xbox and Xbox 360. Sony has won my business and is keeping it now.

No it is not.

How do you feel it's underutilized? It's main problem was an extremely weak CPU paired with a pretty beefy GPU.

All software development has these times.

You can use a camp fire anywhere on the map. After you've unlocked fast travel, you can fast travel to any discovered place while in the camp.

@RpgSama Sure as long as you acknowledged it was fiction vs documentary like they played it off as. About all they got right was that the disaster happened. Everything else was a lie to further scare people about nuclear power.

I was challenged but I beat it first try and nobody died.

Yeah I saw it. Just isn't 100% clear.

Does the receipt have to be from after 12pm? Or just on 3/3/20?

Ultimately the future of the cloud needs to be more along the lines of Geforce Now. Bring your gaming library and rent processing power to play it. Not buy your games with that service, forever locking you to said service.

I love the idea of a minigolf game with friends. But this does not look great.

Yes.

I think it was partly because choices mattered. And if you went the dark side, it was a lot harder to end with a good outcome. So unless you just wanted to say screw the galaxy and end poorly, you tended to play with a better attitude in game.
