fair enough, Japan is a lost cause....but Microsoft isnt doing too badly in the UK (where I live), infact it's somewhat more popular than ps3 over here. Halo 3 legendary and special edition preorders have been hard to come by for weeks.

Im guessing that comparisons will be made soon as the ps3 version goes up. Im also guessing that no matter which version looks best, fanboys of both consoles will claim to have the better version.
I'd like a site to do a fake comparison with some game using the same version of the game twice and pretend that one is ps3 and one 360. fanboys would most likely still say "oh, the textures are sharper on ps3" or "360 has better lighting" or some other usual rubbi...

GRAW 2 on ps3 isnt even close, it's nowhere near as crisp and clean looking, and the framerate isn't as good. R6 isn't as good either.
It's becoming obvious that ps3 is the lowest common demoninator this gen, thats why.
To be fair, the ps3 probably couldnt handle the motion blur effect and the hdr lighting found in the 360 version and it still has framerate issues, think about that son.

After playing the demo and reading the reviews, I say they made a good call.
Well, it's not valve doing the port on ps3.They are only doing the 360 and pc versions. It is EA doing the ps3 port, milking the cash cow as ever.

As John Carmack stated last week, they always run out of ram first on ps3 due to it being split into 2 seperate pools and the ps3's OS eating up 96mb of the ram making it unusable by games. Apparently this is causing headaches for the ps3 version of Quake Wars, so the the game Rage is being developed with ps3 as the "Lowest Common Denominator" to avoid this problem again.
When you consider that the population of the uk is somewhere in the 55 million region, that means there is almost 1 360 for every 55 people in the UK.
I never bothered reading everyone else's comments, but after a quick inspection... ps3 seems to have some slight jaggies and the shots with the big bugs make me think that the ps3 version will lack motion blur like the ps3 vesion of The Darkness did.
