WRONG. The PS3 is clearly "not" the ps2 of this gen. The ps2 was the least powerful system in contrast to the Xbox/GC. The PS3 is clearly more powerful than the Wii/360.
The PS2 also had "way" more diverse games. Many many many....dev companies have died this generation. Midway, Acclaim, Edios, etc. Just because the PS3 is the successor, doesnt automatically parallel the systems.

Awesome story. Slaps everything down, and shows that this Gen really sucks. Yeah, there have been stellar titles, but the jumps, flips, cartwheels gamers have to put up with to just "play" the friggen game???

@Godmars: I actually like Square-Enix. I know right? How so? Heh. Simply because I play multiple games from different companies(pretty much a no brainer). It also helps that I'm done with rpgs. Only action-rpgs(Tales,KH) appeal to me know. So...my chain ain't pulled when Squenix release mediocre title after title...hehe FFXIII. I just move on.
I was never into those rpgs on ps1/ps2 or even the huge truck load on the ds. So hahaha, sucks for you kids.
Its a bit more personal for me. Every other console/handheld I have has been a gift. This was my first ever console device that, I myself purchased. On launch day to boot. Sentimental value at best.
Also, I'm collecting the games that appeal to me(fighters,action rpgs,racing(burnout/nfs). I'm currently focusing on Economics course, so I have no problem glancing at my 3DS from afar. The good games will launch post-May.
Its really not that hard to understand. Simply two basic key points.
1. Japan is in heavy repair mode. Life > Gaming
2. Very little content. The heavy hitters haven't arrived yet. Primarily 1st party Nintendo games. System sellers.
Heh. I got my 3DS on launch day(US). I have NO games for it. Its still sitting on my dresser...in the box...in the GS bag. I'll pick up DOA:D, BlazBlue:CS2, and..."maybe" CN Punch time ...
