Yeah...I bet gamers were happy with Halo 2, Metriod Prime 2, GTA SanAndreas, Jak 3, GranT4, Pokemon Emerald, and GOW2.
Every one of those games has had a more and improved sequel(If Jak 3 didn't end, there would be NO Uncharted). Growth is "mandatory". Can't be complacent. Just my 2 cents.

Absolutely. Take a look at an old game: Jak 3.
That game incorporated so many different genres of gameplay, and did it well!(what'd you expect from the creators of Uncharted?) Hehe...
Racing,FPS,3rdPS, Sandbox, GTA-style(steal vehicles), RPG, Airbourne dogfights, Platforming, pac-man. The list goes on. Oh, and the maps were huge for a ps2 game....oh yeah.

Same here. The 3DS was the first console I've ever purchased. On top of that, same goes for buying at launch. And preordering a console. Basically, alot of firsts. Still haven't bought a game yet(yeah...i know). Waiting for the stellar games upcoming that (don't include) mario. Fighters, Action-rpg's, action-adventures. Good stuff.
Yet, I truly believe PSV(eat that psp2) will be a force to be reckoned with. Groudbreaking specs, awesome price, and REGION FREE...

I tend to look at the terms casual/hardcore in 2 respects.
The content: Paperthin story line(if any), super easy controls, lack of depth

Time spent playing the game.
I consider myself a casual gamer. I have a backlog of n64/ps1/ps2/ds games that I haven't completed yet. I recently stocked up on some awesome ps2 titles...

I need to see some localizations. Where are all those DS Jap titles Nintendo has been working on??? There are some many DS action/action-rpg games that never reached the US. What about Solatorobo? That Inazuma Eleven? Soma Bringer? Tales DS games..etc

I actually enjoyed the simplicity of the ps2/gc/xbox gen. Less hassale. As awesome as DLC is, some prices are outrageous. Don't even get me started on all those annoying updates. You'd think integrating online would make gaming more fun(it does), yet it carries all this unnecessary baggage along the way.
When I pop in my brand new game, I don't wanna wait 30+ minutes waitin for my console to "integrate&...

Screw that. Legendary super warriors for the gbc was friggin awesome. It had so much depth for a gbc game.
@drobotnik: Good news. There will be simultaneous 2 on 2 battling. Also, the real name for this game is DBZ Zenkai Battle Royale. There's already been gameplay footage of this(seriously). The graphics take a dump on raging blast(no joke). I'll post a gameplay trailer later tonight.(using browser on my cell)
Agreed. Platformers, RPG's, Sidescrolling Beat'em Ups, Racing(kinda lame though)...those games flourished on GBA. Megaman BattleNetwork? Good times...good times. Dunno what happened with those ds crap versions...
