Fool. Of course the game has different mechanics. That is what a prequel/sequel is for.
StarWars:TFU2 was a sequel to the original game. It had similar yet new gameplay mechanics. Was that a "spin-off"???
Your mentallity sucks. I used the starwars[ep 1,2,3], which are prequels to the original trilogy; and you claim they are "spin-offs"???
I can agree the tv shows will be seen as a spin-off. Yet, I NEVER used the tv s...
Hmm...tough question. I'd basically just list half-baked ports/lame casual games...but I'm biased to that. I despise casual games. Go walk into a Gamestop and look at the DS section. What you see will haunt you forever...
Honestly, regardless of what I think are boring games, other might like them. Ex: Nintendogs/SteelDiver
While me(action buff) will lean to SSFIV3D and KH:3D
How in the world is BBS a spinoff when its actually the KH:prequel???
That like calling the latter StarWars movies spinoffs...!!!
Yeah. I thought so.
@nycedude
I like the NGP. If its full of ports, I'll pass. Why? Because I plan to purchase my PS3 this year. I'm not going buy the PS3, and then the NGP to play the same franchise title.
I have nothing against ports. I agree the 3DS is full of ports. Ports of games I have never played/owned. SSFIV3D? Nope. Tales of Abyss? Nope. BlazBlue? Nope. Shoot...not even paper mario or splinter cell. So if a port is a new game/experience for me, then I'm...
I sorry you feel that way./s
"What does the 3DS bring?3D.Something no one cared about, then suddenly it's the same old crap."
I also sorry you're a nobody. Does anyone care about "you"?
Well hopefully Nintendo will keep their promise, and localize some stellar Japanese DS games. Tales series for example.
Hmm...I dunno. SplitSecond was pretty awesome.
I'm sorry but this blogger or whatever is a fool.
1. Launch Library: Nintendo showcased awesome titles last E3. Will those 1st party titles make launch? Nope. Nintendo Fanboys on a daily basis continue to complain about the lack of 1st party titles at launch.
Here's a question for you. Why is there a lack of 1st party titles at launch? Nintendo simply wants to allow 3rd party co's to have the first slice of pie. Remember the huge 3rd-party su...
C'mon Zez...that's so easy. I consider myself a core gamer. I "hate" casual games. Every game I play has to have some kind of inflicting damage, or competition. Fast paced action whether with cars or fighters. Guns or Swords. High replay value. Engaging story.
1.MGS
2.Resident Evil: Revelations
3.Super Street Fighter IV:3D
4.BlazBlue:C.Shift
5.Driver Renegade
6.Saints Row
7.Dead Or Alive:Dimensions
Genius.
Although both will feed core gamers...demographics are still seperate. I'll buy both later down the road, but right now I'll take the 3DS. NGP is a powerhouse. We all knew that. Nothing has changed in the last 7 years. Innovation vs. HD graphics
I'll play my 3DS for depth, and NGP for HD hanheld gaming. Only thing that concerns me is price and game library for the NGP. If its just PS3 ports...then I just may pass. It better not be over $299. I'm planning on ...
Yeah...but you also wasted your time reading this "garbage". Guess "you" have alot of time on your hands as well. Not much of a life, is it?
U mad? *giggles*
Agreed.
Eat that stupid fanboys.
I'll probably purchase the 3DS first(since i already have it preordered:Dec27th) Thursday is gonna be a big day.
I'm "really" curious to see what Sony is going to bring to the table. If its just hd graphics and 2 analogs...then meh. Only time will tell...
This blog is pathetic. Reading all these poor attempts to minimize the success of the 3DS. Tentacle, and wesley....you two are a pair of imbociles. I can see why you only have 1 bubble. You know very no one is interested in your posts, so youb scurry over to be the first one.
Uhh....which country are "you" from?
Because I remember the psp selling for $250USD.
Actually...no. You need to get your head our your arse.
I'm buying the 3DS for (4) reasons. graphical improvement, huge 3rd party support, barkwards compatability, and the slide pad. I could care less about the 3D. Its the upgrade to the DS that is long overdue. Here's my pov. Its a lil long but will reach your hearts if your on the same page as me.
[I look at the 3DS as my next gen console. A handheld yes, but the money i'm preparing to inves...
ey man. 3DS will definetly satisfy core gamers. They're still catering to the casual, since thats where their previous cash flow lies.
I love action games. Why I own a DS instead of a psp, only God knows. I thought it was gonna be an upgraded gba(boy was I wrong). But I've played the psp many times over the past 6 years. My lil bro owns one, and its a powerful handheld. But something was just "lacking". I just couldn't put my finger on it(literally).
...
Sounds like you want a Platformer Comeback. I'm all aboard dude. The shooters snuffed all those gems down the drain...
When you've got multimillion dollar AAA titles, smaller genres are minimized, and smaller companies are eventually phased out.
The name of the website says it all.
The guy states some solid points. Its one of those "only time will tell" situations.
Heh. All I care about is that graphical improvement(long overdue), huge(non-shovelware) third party support, backwards compatability, and a slick slide pad. The street pass, 3d, and all those other features are just bonuses to me. So I'm straight.
It all depends on that successful they'll be with that 8 week ...
Dude. Are you serious.
I have 3 bubbles because I just created this profile 5 months ago. I'm still starting out. Which means that I have neither earned or lost bubbles. You have 5 so i'll "assume" you've got a good head on your shoulders.
I used the starwars prequels as an example of prequels not being spinoffs. I think your preception of what a spinoff is a bit, well off. Resistance for the psp. I see that as a spinoff. Kingdom Hea...
