Too bad they have already stated that it will have 32 and 64 bit for home use.
Yup that is exactly what they are doing. I am really suprised that they had not done it along time ago. Nowadays everything is sub licensed. For example both Sony has Havok in their dev kit already and 3rd party engines like Unreal or Cry Engine 2 have a physics engine in it.
Wow, just wow. It shames me to read such shoddy titles. All it means is that if a developer has a game dev kit from Microsoft they get some heavy discounts for the Havok engine. If the title were true then a lot more businesses then Sony would be screwed. All major 3rd party engines run with the option of this. There are a lot of companies like Blizzard that don't have the games windows license that their entire game is built on having that physics engine.
No, its just saying that if you get a Microsoft game development kit that Havok just comes with it.
Your right, sorry. I meant that they have confirmed it is not Heavy Rain.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but everyone under the sun who has seen this mysterious game has too the point with complete conviction denied that it is NOT Heavy Rain. Which is just awesome for gamers saying that we still have massive surprises left for us.
Actually if any one would immediately by them it would probably be Ubisoft. They have stated that they are looking for acquisitions and mergers that would allow them to compete with EA or Activision-Blizzard. I think EA would be too drained from the battle from getting Take Two
Also encase if people complain, they had to completely rebuild their engine, so yeah they made some major improvements over the first one, it is not even close to being optimized as it should be.
Edit: I know because they had specifically stated that their code base in the first game was built for single screen only. Which means that they had to recode and rebuild their engine since they could not modify MS1 engine. Therefore they have not had as much time improving the engine c...
Wasn't the original quote of simultaneous release argued with some of the intern workers? I thought that there was some confusion about that.
First if Microsoft wants to win they have to get more permanent exclusives, but this is a problem. They constantly are abandoning their first party studios. In the span of 4 years they have lost 6 first party studios 5 completely dissolved, and the other is Bungie. And they probably are going to do the same too Wingnut Interactive too.
I like how they have not learned anything in their entire battle with Sony. I'm just saying that if they can steal multiplats from Sony, Sony can sure do the same too them, and then you have instances like this years EA financials which they are expecting alot more money from the PS3. Lesson for all companies, learn to do things yourself.
I wonder if Sony will acquire MM after LBP's launch. They are due for an acquisition and that would fit there usual profile. They had apperantely even paid for part of their current studio.
We will just have too see who's word is real here. First we have Microsoft saying its day and date with PS3. But there in lies the main problem. Square is saying that they have learned how to fast localize to English and that is even quicker than the FFXII which only took 6 months. And I assure you that it will take a while to rewrite the data to work with the 360 processor after them learning to use over 4 SPE's, then figure out how to split/compress data for multiple disks thats if it is ev...
Possibly, but I think that it would probably be more of a full title. I think that they might use episodic content for in between fillers and to help give fans a little bit more while they wait. Might end up doing that for Resistance(but thats just a guess)
People have to realize that MC is spending like crazy to get almost 0 profit now(buying out 3rd party DLC and bring PS exclusives to there console) . You have to realize that there positive quaters are based on 3 things, insane overpricing of peripherals, Xbox Live, and thirdly games like Halo 3. Halo 3 was first party so they made pure profit on it. Now Bungie is a second party that means that the profit rates dropped to about half if not less.
Just to add an interesting point to this. If you look on the Bioware boards there response has gone from "We have no plans on developing for PS3" to "We haven't announced for PS3". Just saying...
I like how people forget that this game was developed exclusively around the cell, not like FFXIII that was built on a multi platform engine. Look it up, the arcades for this have the cell processor.
Wow, why are people fussing at the Game save amount, the Xbox 360 requires the same amount of install so you can save your progress.
This year its a meager amount this year, but what about next year. And now that 1,2,.. some companies have complained/ actually set stuff as dlc for 360 that is on ps3 discs, what do you think is going to happen. People are going to stop gimping so much on both but have Microsoft throw massive downloads on to live, unless if Microsoft is stingy and stops them.
For anyone who is calling this BS tell me how it is not true. First year Microsoft sold just over 10 mil, 2nd year they sold just over 7 mil, so far this year they have only sold about 3 mil maybe. That is a decline. Saying that they have been cutting the prices too.
