Very true, I thought by now TV manufacturers would have gone with Glasses free 3D screens. I imagine glasses free 3D gaming at 1080p per eye at 60FPS would be better/cooler than just higher 2D resolution. Was hoping that NX/Switch rumor about it having 3D on any screen was true but its just more of the same as well. Maybe 4DS will introduce Holographic gaming, who knows? It'll be very boring tho if nintendo goes with just a 2D screen for their next handheld and not a higher rez 3D screen....

This is kewl and all but what would be really insane is if this game could run in 3D at 1080p60fps per eye. And I dont even have a 3DTV. With the extra power of the Pro it could be possible tho. 4K is great but glasses free 3D would be AWESOME if TV manufacturers could make that happen already.

@Wonderfulmonkeyman Its not "quibbling" over graphics, its lamenting the fact that all Nintendo's 1st party games look cartoony as hell and have a kiddy tone to them when Mario used to be the technological and 3D presentation showcase for gaming. Nothing at all to do with graphics, everything to do with artstyle and their lazyness.

Maybe hardcore android/iOS "gamers" will like this but speaking as a console guy it seems like the vita fills this niche in Nintendo's "Blue ocean strategy" already..
Nope hasnt been confirmed yet but I think it wont because theyd need a discreet GPU in the dock/base station which would raise the cost considerably AND make devs have to code essentially two wholly different versions of the same game which is a headache devs will only deal with if the things gets HUGE launch sales.
Yeah it looked really fake even though the simulated footage was still running at what looked like sub 30 or 20fps to make it seem more grounded with what the "Actual" tech will be capable of.

A GTA with online 6-8 player multiplayer thats as frantic as the PSP stories' games multiplayer and i'll buy 6 right now.
