Honestly it costing 600$ wouldnt bother me if they showed the PS5 running something like the Killzone 2006 E3 demo but in real time. I still have not seen animation get that far in a videogame but I think PS5 should be able to meet or even surpass that. Dont mind loading times if the games are truly next level and not just uprezzed versions of current games

I had an N64 but I remember the Dreamcast version being the cleanest. Even had softened polygons with smoother edges on the models which didnt even get cleaned up on the N64 or GC releases. 480p cutscenes for the win

Future of game visuals will be determined by what the market demands. If you see the current trends tho I think we will see lots of games/series go Holographic 3D before we see ray tracing on a 2D display.
I like that its a mature game and Super Mario Odyssea does look great, but man Nintendo could have had so much more in the visuals dept of their 1st party games if they went with a powerful console that could render 3D in a different or better way. Just like the N64 days when they had the best TECH and the Best games.
