Hell why not just put up a survey on ps3forums?....that would be just as reliable. OK, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the failure of the "launch consoles" was much higher than the original 3-5% that M$ claimed. I think its pretty close to 10%.....which is alot of f-king consoles. They did however make changes in the manufacturing and we have indeed seen "significantly" less failures in consoles manufactured 3-6 months "after" launch and ...
Your comments absolutely NAIL the feeling of the Halo3 Beta!....with a few tweaks and modifications Halo3 will be a legendary GOD among mere mortal videogames! [insert LOUD evil laugh]
Wow, this non-issue has about 50 comments and I read them all. I wish people wouldn't have brought racism into the subject because thats really not the reason. As I have said before I have actually lived in Japan on and off for more than 4 yrs now (job related)and actually my wife is Japanese(a beautiful *English* teacher...OMG how lucky am I!!) anyway while ipods do sell very well in Japan....its a totally different mentality when it comes to videogames, they don't hate M$, but they do hav...
-damm those ones overlooking the city and the canyon terrain look very good....I always thought AC was possibly the best flying game but honestly I haven't played that many in this genre, from what I remember when I played I think #4 on the PS2 it was pretty good. It will be interesting to see how far the gameplay has come with a next gen console like the 360.
yeah, you're right; That's it!, of course I should have known that the 360 wasn't selling in Japan because they don't like "a giant brick lying around in their living room or bedroom as it is an ugly sight to see." Somehow I never see it, unless I go digging up the power cords behind my TV -lol, maybe he meant to say that the 360 itself is the "giant brick". -Wow, and the excuse for the PS3 is that its "simply too big". -Well Sony better release that "S...
Well I just took a break from the Beta myself, my neck was hurting from leaning my head for the last 4 hrs (bad habit)...I haven't played Halo2 in a long time but honestly its so much like Halo2 in so many ways the differernce IMO is this multiplayer is alot more balanced than Halo2, and its just more fun, although I'm getting my butt kicked alot, I'm learning and its not nearly as bad as the first day; so just give me time....and I will be spreading massive beat downs throughout the Halo rea...
Heres my "most" wanted list:
1. Halo3
2. Mass Effect
3. Bioshock
4. Too Human
5. Forza2
-damm, thats beautiful....just look at it.
I personally haven't decided to participate in the format war, but I love this show and this is just one plus for the HD DVD camp....for a "second" I thought about getting this, but nah, -a good old DVD will do just fine for now. Well either way this news same as any Blu-ray release news which has been posted under "Industry News", what's the big deal? If this release doesn't interest you, so what? Those early adopters I'm sure would like to know.
Bungie, knows what Gamers want....just save something to surprise us just before release. BTW, I played the Beta yesterday for 4 hrs straight, until my wife started giving me that "look", well all I can say is that the multiplayer is f-kin awesome.
Yeah, I'm in agreement that Sony can't control everything, but this is different from "bootlegs" etc. because that is stuff created totally against M$'s will, like modding but this is stuff in a magazine and a ad campaign thats designed to promote/market Sony products, which correct me if I'm wrong by law has to at least be Ok'd by the company to use their products....where I think the problem is, is that its pretty easy for companies affiliated with Sony to get permission to run an...
Hold on DJ, was that "sarcasm":
"Ok, true, he has an Xbox, but that's only one Microsoft console. Pbbbt."
-So owning a original xbox makes you somehow "unbiased"?, actually no one is unbiased but some "try" to have balance in their comments. Saying I own an xbox doesn't change the fact that everybody on this site knows you are an extreme Sonyfanboy. Come on DJ, who are you trying to fool?....-uhm maybe the guy who joined N4...
Well everybody's already mentioned alot of good games....but as you can see there's so many different games people want, so thats exactly why they are asking for this feedback...I guess they will try and get the games that the majority want to see. Well off the top of my head here's some of the games I'd like to see on XBLA:
Mega Man 2 (all of them)
X-Men Arcade
Contra III -The Alien Wars
Golden Axe
and
Metal Gear Solid ?-(Well, they asked)
...
yeah, I agree with you Moore shouldn't question about whether or not we see results....anyway thats why I feel like both companys should just say its a good thing and move on because its so easy to say the wrong thing or be accused of using it for PR.....and again as Gamers its the last thing we should be debating.
Well first of all I have to say that I did mean to say Jack, instead of Phil....I was commenting on this news based on what I had previously read on the Gamepro article from before, so I just quickly typed my thoughts after reading "Bens" comments...my bad, I apologize for saying Phil instead of Jack. Now otherwise I stand behind my comments, and actually if YOU guys really read my post, I don't think there's much difference from what you guys are saying and what I said....because...
I read the whole gamepro interview and the above comments from Phil are NOT cherry picked; there were many other things discussed in the interview but these are Phil's comments specifically about M$ doing Folding@Home....I happen to think Phil is one of Sony's better PR exec's but I also believe this guy is right on this particular subject there's no reason to be petty. -He shouldn't have implied M$ is doing it for PR, it's medical research and that's what it should be about, not which conso...
Well nobody's ever played Crysis before, although I'm sure it will be a great game. As far as saying Halo is overated, well you might as well say Chocolate Chip Cookies are overated because it really doesn't matter what YOU think....many, many more millions of people prefer chocolate chip cookies over any other kind. I know some think peanut butter cookies can't be beat but trying to tell that to the guy is tasted them all and loves chocolate chip along with the majority of people who feel ...
I thought it was a good interview, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that Phil and other top Sony exec's are never negative about their competition, I thought Gamepro could have asked better questions....but again I read this whole interview and I thought Phil did a good job talking about Sony. BTW, in all fairness Peter Moore only talked about Folding@Home during an interview after he was asked if 360 would support it....you can call it PR, but imagine if he had said: "Well we've hea...
This quote will fuel the fires for a long time to come:
"I can tell you honestly at this point, we have not changed the game in any form with the idea of 'oh, we got to do this on 360.' Put aside whether or not we're developing for 360 or not, the game is built on the PS3 hardware, as you guys have known for the past two years or so."
-Damm, this doesn't sound like a confirmation that MGS4 is coming to the 360, but more importantly it doesn't sound like a ...
This reminds me of those "priceless" jokes. Alright calm down, this isn't a big deal and its not really Sony's fault but it still makes them look bad....not as big a deal as some make it out to be, but its still pretty funny.
Hey just because it irritates you that some people point out Halo all the time or YOU feel its over-hyped, still doesn't make your opinion a reality for many, many original xbox owners who enjoyed alot of great games besides Halo "before" SC came along. Also your theory seems flawed because if:
"the reason it was so successful is because Xbox owners had nothing else to play until Splinter Cell came out."
-Then why does it continue to be very p...
