Reminds me of my old PC that laid flat rather than upright.
Didn't the PS3 do this?
It's not going to cost that much. *sigh*
I'm not sure whether it's on purpose, but a lot of sites are using the sales tactic of proposing a ludicrous price & then when it releases cheaper (because of reduced manufacturing costs) everyone will say "wow, it's cheaper than I thought it was going to be, what a deal".
I agree.
Damn powerful IF it were a dedicated handheld.
I'm surprised he scored it "average", I would have thought it would score below 5 with all of the glitches.
When did they ever leave?
I'm surprised 3 people (at this moment) didn't get the joke. :(
It's not going to be that expensive.
Going by how the PS4/Xbone parts have become cheaper to manufacture, I'd say with the new software enhancements that it could be $500-$550.
This is NPD, not worldwide, so I'm not going to disagree that it's possible.
For third parties possibly, if it's affordable.
Well the fact it's called Xbox Scorpio & there's no mention of the word "One" in it should give you all the proof you need.
The more they talk about it, the more it sounds like their next gen console.
Articles using the words "next xbox", Penello using the words "Huge Leap Ahead of Any Console".
"Next xbox"?
Apparently around 40% more powerful than the Pro.
So the same advantage the base PS4 had over the base Xbone.
That would be the most stupid thing to give exclusivity rights to & would only hold consoles back.
Bunch of children.
Boost mode is to be expected after Sony did it.
Kind of obvious it would improve backwards compatability too.
Weird physics.
If I stick a magnet on the top of a metal object, with something inbetween, it doesn't start floating.
I'll put it another way.
If the cost to manufacture the base product is much cheaper than the cost the consumer has to pay, then it exposes the raised pricing of the peripherals & games as greed.
Most manufacturers sell at a loss or in the black initially, because games, peripherals & services net them a profit to begin with & as the base product continues to sell, the parts become cheaper to manufacture until they profit from the base product too.
T...
It could be Sly Cooper 5, to tie in with the possible Sly movie (if it isn't cancelled).
Sly 4 had the trophy "Final Chapter?" for finishing the story.
It could also be Infamous, but I hope they do more with it this time.
Well of course not, you've released more powerful hardware over a year later, after the new tech refresh so you have access to hardware & software Sony wouldn't have had access to at the time, as well as cheaper manufacturing costs.
PS4 Pro release date: November 10 2016
Xbox Scorpio release: Christmas 2017 ("Holiday 2017")
I'm not surprised it's more powerful.
