You don't have to play it to understand what they're saying.
They're trying to avoid the flaw, saying it adds suspense when in actuality it's working around the awkwardness of having to look at 2 screens at once.
I've tried that, it's awkward & frustrating.
The Wii-u is no different, unless they opt for a pause mode when you use the smaller screen.
One random tidbit as well: Focusing on something close to y...
This was kind of an obvious one, since you still have the games.
I doubt anyone would be currently playing a console of their choice, have it break on them & then wait a long time to buy a newer console that plays the games they still own.
Apart from people without disposable income I suppose.
I have to chuckle at how they use the awkwardness of the controller, to say it's an extra gaming mechanic.
"Oh, well that just makes it scarier"
I have another way of doing the same thing:
look at your feet for 10-20 seconds, then look back up.
There, now you've created a self-imposing challenge.
I'm not a Nintendo "fan" per say, I just play Nintendo as well as Sony.
I have to agree with your opinion, as it would be a welcome move, he'd have the freedom he needs for any new games he makes.
ICO & SoTC had "Zelda-esque" violence, in that you didn't have blood & gore.
I just hope he stays "free" so if he ever considers making a game for a Sony platform again, he can do so & everybody ...
I think I remember reading that he was planning on leaving Sony after finishing TLG anyway.
It's been 4 years, so maybe he's almost finished it & is going to leave the rest of the work to the leftover team, could just be a few technical things to finish.
Here's hoping.
Edit: Also @Flavor, that's just not true, period.
People need to stop it with the "Japanese can't make good games" rubbish.
A MGS game for the PS3 & Vita to utilise Cross-Buy.
That'd be nice & get a few more Vitas out there.
This article is rubbish.
Here's my point:
I've been a player of the Sony Playstation brand since release & I find the controllers to be "perfect", I've never had any problems with any of the designs.
Now consider how long I've used those controllers.
I'm used to them now so I personally think it's the "best".
But when I try to use Nintendo or Microsoft controllers, I st...
The gameplay looks to have improved & I do find the whole "environment coming apart" interesting look-wise.
But changing Vergil is going a bit too far, I mean they changed Dante & the majority of fans didn't like it, so they changed his Devil Trigger to look like Classic Dante.
Now his brother is all buddy buddy & has had his look changed also... What??
I also agree that they seem to think that in order for us to lik...
I think the (supposedly) "low sales" comes from hesitant buyers.
The cause is quite simple: All of the bad press the Vita has gotten since launch.
That effects developers also, so less 3rd parties taking a "leap of faith" & less games being developed for it.
Although to be honest, I haven't seen a single Vita advert on television.
(ok, maybe I remember those awful ads that were trying to be too "smart&...
The header & opening reads as though it's truth & has happened.
It's more likely that they've changed the name.
To all of those after me, read the article, it's poor speculation.
It's like a repeat of the FFXIII Versus is dead article.
This is so dumb, why do they even need to relate it to video games.
He locked himself in his room for 4 days, with no water.
It doesn't matter what he was doing for those 4 days.
He. locked. himself. in. his. room. for. 4. days. without. water.
& the mother did nothing.
The article should read: "Do parents need lessons on parenting?"
But hey, then it wouldn't be an article on N4G.
I prefer the Vita, slicker & much more comfy to hold imo.
My own DSL (same shape as the 3DS) digs into my palms & leaves them sore after a while.
I've also read absolutely loads of comments from owners of the 3DS who leave the 3D off.
I have a visual disability, so I'd not be able to use the 3D myself.
On a side note, the PSVita had dual analogue sticks before the 3DS add-on.
@decrypt
How were people screwed out of playing PS2 games because of no PS3 BC?
Surely if they had the games, then they had a PS2 as well.
I also don't understand the logic behind this part of your post:
"and now must pay for HD remakes to play old games."
Must? Since when did Sony point a gun at the consumers heads & force them to buy?
Also, "HD remakes" is a GOOD thing, t...
Sorry, I do like a lot of Nintendo games, but is this it?
When are you going to evolve your characters Nintendo??
This is getting to be ridiculous.
Atleast the Zelda series had Link change dimensions as well as styles.
From chibi cartoon to a very nice human artstyle.
I also hate the names, stop with the "U" rubbish, it lacks imagination.
They need to change something fast, after roughly 25 years, they're milking ...
Get rid of those grooves on the top, they look hideous.
If they opt to use the same finish as the last PS2 slim, I think it'd look a lot nicer.
On the current photo, the two different materials just don't mesh well together.
Other than that, nice to know they're still finding ways to cut it down in size for consumers, old & new.
Now if it lowers the failure rate even more, I'll be chuffed.
I thought they mentioned it being more than 1 little problem?
Surely it's not just the bookshelves?
Honestly, with handhelds you generally want the feel of it to be similar to that of rounded console controllers, so it's comfortable & easy to use.
The only parts that they could shrink in size & benefit from it, is the top & bottom (above & below the screen).
At a depth of 18.6mm, I really don't think the Vita needs to be any thinner.
I'd bet more on a lighter model than a thinner one though, myself.
Can't wait for this, I've not been able to play a new Tales game for 9 years now.
Europe is definitely in need of more Tales games.
Personally, I find all of those designs to be ugly.
Besides that, why would they release the PS4 so soon when they've just released the Vita & enabled partner features with the PS3.
The PS3 has life left in it.
I dislike that the media is trying to force Sony's hand.
How do these articles even get approved? V_V
