why can't Sony provide the same service across all regions.?

Really though, the fixing of the store was only something to be marginally excited about. If it was fixed wrong, one should only be marginally upset.
After all, it's only Sony shooting themselves in the foot since, it's really only preventing users from buying their crap easily. I'm sure things will be tailored and fixed a bit but, in the end it's only a store and not a function that's a deal breaker for buying or owning a PS3.
that they want the stand alone Blu-Ray players to hit 299 by the end of the year. The usually keep the PS3 inline with the lower end BD player. Using these new chips makes this more of a reality.

I don't know man. The graphics are going to be top notch. They might not surprise people like the first did but, they're still going to be good. Plus ... a lot of people bought and liked the first one, it only makes sense that they're going to want to buy two. Gears 2 is going to be successful. It might not get GOTY but it's still going to be a great game. I guess that's kind of what the author is saying though.
It still suck that it's not full blown support but, it's better then just 5 extra maps. lol
It's something I want to do well of course. I think it has potential which is why I'm following it. I hope it impresses. Reading things about the engine sure pumps me up.
The best thing about UT3 is the mods. Every single PS3 fan, including myself, would say the same thing and did so in a story not long ago(Story about UT3 getting 5 exclusive maps since no mods). The PS3 version gets that. Hell ... someone is probably gonna copy the "exclusive maps" eventually anyway. PS3 users get a constant supply of fresh content to keep the game alive. about Alan Wake. I think that might be my most anticipated MS title coming. Less is known about that game than KZ2. The premise seem awesome though and the screens have looked great as well. I can't wait to see Gears as well. I'm sure that will look good too.
Anyone know when Sony's Gamers Day is? Isn't that also in May? Should be a good month for gaming. Then comes E3. This years E3 is going to rock.
Halo was on the soda cans, cups at the fast food places, commercials candy etc etc. Even the news was covering the Halo Madness. If the media blitz is going to start, it hasn't seemed to start yet where I am.
Up until this last month, the PS3 was outselling the 360. Granted there may have been supply constraints but, with the format win, the PS3 is gaining momentum. Even with this recent loss in march, the margin was by a whole 5000 consoles. Great exclusive titles are starting to hit as well. Even though NA is MS's territory, Sony isn't far behind anymore like it was. Europe is going to kill MS. The combination of the Japan and Europe really puts the squeeze on MS.
Wasn't it known that the 360 version was being built along side the PS3 version. That's like 6 months more dev time.
It sucks the 360 won't be getting MODs though.
the fact that Blu-Ray won gives Sony an upper hand on all consoles. In three years, HDTV's will be even cheaper. A lot more people will have them. When someone wants a console BD will play a factor. PS3s will be cheaper as well
I have a feeling Sony will pull ahead of everyone but, it won't be until later in the cycle if not into the next generation of consoles. The Wii's test (it's obviously dominant right now) will be if it can continue to sell well once the PS3 and 360 fall in...
It ain't often but, he's right. None of the consoles will reach the mainstream until they hit the 200 and below mark. All of the 120 million PS2 users are going to wait to move into the next gen. Will they move to 360 or PS3? Who knows. Which console will hit that price point first? who knows? It's all speculation.
This gen is even harder to gauge because, most of the systems require an HDTV. It's not needed but, people know the consoles won't be at near their full potential unt...

For a new tech though, this is looking awesome. When plasma came out, those TV's were super high priced as well. These things will come down in price and in 10 years people won't give a damn about LCD or Plasma. I wish I could play my PS3 on a 40 inch OLED screen now but, at least this is a taste of what's to come in the future.
