Two years from now when the next gen is underway I think well see a lot better 3d games.
The really sneaky thing about the 4 Gb model is it's not actually a hard drive. Its a flash drive made to look look a hard drive. That's why ther've been problems with certain installs like BF3 texture pack.
From a cost cutting point it's genius.. sneaky but genius. Since i found this out I've wondered if this why MS started allowing flash drives in first place...
I question only 2 gigs or ram? With ram being so cheap this seems like something that would be a limitation down the road that could be avoided for a few dollars.

I think next gen when the consoles can handle 3d at full res and framerate then the devs will be able to really wow us. I love the 3d movies and games I've played. Makes me want a new tv.
I believe this is the hold up most people have is they bought a new HD TV the last 5 years and don't want to upgrade again.
I simply won't buy capcom anymore. I don't have anything against quality DLC, but Capcom has no clue what that means. Here's a hint. All "on disc" DLC is rape IMHO. I don't want to pay for something twice.

Maybe cheaper at launch cause they waited so long between console cylcles that off the shelf parts are 10 times better.
I read they had to dumb down the combined cpu/gpu in the newer slims just to keep them compatible with older models.
As an early adopter i'd gladly throw down $500 on a new system. Generations overlap people. There will be a period of a year or two where a game is available for both.
As an adult I fondly remember the first year the xbox came out and was $400. There weren't any screaming racist 8 year olds on xbl.

Userbase is an issue every generation. Same with nes,snes,ps1,ps2,ect...
New generations are when we see developers make a name for themselves. How many console gamers knew about epic before Gears of war? How many people besides hardcore RPGers knew of Bethesda before Oblivion?

People keep saying there is no need for a next gen yet but clearly this yet another example of how sweet some new console hardware could be. A year ago i would have been impressed with GTAV, but now i'm just kinda meh. Don't get me wrong. It looks good, and it is impressive with what they are squeezing out of current gen, but come on...
You're right but its still worth recording and fast fowarding through to see new game announcements. This is where Bethesda officialy announced Skyrim last year.
Personally I hate the facebook crap games and when friends send invites and shares about them. Maybe cause I have a life and any spare time might as well be spent on a worthwile retail title.
You are so right about controller preference. People seldom mention this. I have both systems and almost always choose the 360 version of a game sice the controller is so much more comfortable in my hands. Sony not redesigning the ps3 controller was a big dissapointment.

Yeah I was pretty taken aback by the cat woman thing. Plus entering those codes is obnoxious. All day one DLC is bullshit. If its ready at release than include it on disc. Capcom I'm looking at you.

I've lost a lot of respect for capcom due to their DLC scams. It's a known fact that their games ship with the DLC on disc and unlock once you "download" them. DLC available on day one is complete bullshit that should be stopped. It should come included. Ooo should i buy a new color Gi for Ryu?...

I'm a huge Samsung fan as they fixed my 3 1/2 year old tv which was completly out of warranty for free. The paid for a local company to come fix the capacitor issue. Id have no prob with them if they made the next box.
