Well it is the single country that produces the most money for the videogame market. Europe is a grouping of countries with different languages. So for single country, the U.S. is the most important for video games. Just on numbers. I don't think there is a single country out their that even comes close to the sales of the U.S. is there?
As someone who lives in an area where I can't get my local channels through directv or my locals in hd through dish, I am stuck with my cable company that has crap for channels. No nba network, no option for nba league pass, about 20 hd channels total. I am all for an option like this. Options are always good. Don't be such a fanboy ironcreed. Of course that is wrong if they only spent 3 hours, but lets not forget it was Sony that kept most people waiting till the last minute to get their hands on a review copy and since most sites want to get a review out asap so their readers can see it, I blame Sony just as much. But of course most will not since you are not allowed to blame sony for anything on this site.
So why not make the damage physics an option in the settings? That would alleviate all the nonsense about it. Hardcore GT fans could have it on right away, and casuals that find it too difficult could turn it down a bit. I think GT5 is awesome. That being said, it is important for non GT5 fans to like this game. Sony wants this to be a system seller and that means people who may have never played a GT game before. I think that anyone who is a major gt fan has already bought a ps3. Just my two cents.
Since you are a level headed person Alpha, maybe you could answer a question for me. Where is the outrage from the fans about this review embargo? When another company had an embargo on its reviews all I heard was an outcry of how terrible the game was going to be, blah blah blah. I don't pretend to be 100% unbiased, although I tend to call em like I see em. What do you think about the embargo? Thanks.

not worldwide, so why bring others into it. Unless you are just a punk fanboy like morganfell, you would just look at these numbers for what they are. I am not crowing about how U.S. numbers = the world. If the article was, NPD numbers equal the world, or something about world numbers then I can see bringing Japan and EU numbers into it. Morganfell just can't take when anything Microsoft does well, whether it be in America, or anywhere else for that matter, that is why he was blocked....
I just wonder if there has ever been a game that has taken as long and has had so many video's of it leaked on the net. For about 8 months we have seen video after video of gameplay for this beast and still we wait. At least the wait is almost over. Gonna get mine day 1.

I believe the fact that I have owned almost every major video game console since the magnovox Odyssey qualifies me as a core gamers. The only ones I missed were the gamecube and the turbo graphix 16 I believe. I have kinect and I find the games exactly what I expected, fun, easy to pick up, and a plain old good time. Not at the current time, but since there are pics from the dashboard showing netlix and facebook and stuff out there on the net, I imagine there were some problems implementing it. Microsoft did exactly what they wanted too with this thing. All of the gaming sites give it mediocre reviews but the non gaming sites, newspapers etc., have given it pretty glorious reviews. Non gamers are eating this thing up.

There still isn't an HDTV in every home. You trying to tell me the little old lady in her 70's that watches golden girls is gonna go out and get a new tv.
