I have tried many demos and I bought a bunch of games.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood - My favorite game
Batman VR - probably the most impressive use of VR but short
Battlezone - Fun game and worth the full game price
Tumbler VR - Great puzzle game and fun to play for just about anyone.
Special mention - Super Stardust VR is alot of fun in VR and the Addon is fun but limited.
Special Mention - Playroom VR's Robot Rescue is amazing...
People arent getting it yet.... The PS PRo was made for more than 4k gaming and improved graphics, it was also to boost the performance of their VR solution for those that want it. They have been silent on it because they want the PSVR to take center stage. When you see the PS PRO has the back USB port, its obvious that this console was made for the PSVR. If Sony talked about how how great the PS PRO is with the PSVR, people might wait on the PSVR till they get a PRO, they do not want that, s...
When the PS4 and Xbox One were not released yet, I remember reading that the Xbox One was going to dominate, When The Wii-u was released, many people thought it was going to be a hot seller. Now after the failure of the Wii-u, they are more skeptical. I believe the Switch will do better than the Wii-u if the price is right but its not going to be an return to wii sales, not even close.
Knowing Nintendo it will be $299.99, which would be worth it IF it comes with the extra compute base that was shown in the patent. If not, then it should be $249.99 or less. Anything more than that will place it in the same price as PS4 and Xbox One S and that would be a mistake. They need to undercut that price to sustain long term sales, otherwise its going to be the Wii-u all over again (great sales at first and slows down)
NO WAY it could be over $300 when (if leaked s...
There was another project listed in their leaked list of what was coming, Project greenheart, maybe this is what they are actually working on. They had also said they were doing some very different projects so pete might be telling the truth.
It would probably get old going fallout to elder scrolls to fallout to elder scrolls, something new and exciting would be nice from time to time.
If the leaked specs are true, and its really just a slightly improved Nvidia Shield, then it's pretty meh. The patent showed a addon that allowed for more processing power but wasnt shown in the video, so who knows if they will do that. If this is all it is, only the Nintendo faithful are going to go crazy over it.
Is This The Nintendo Console Core Fans Want? - Maybe, Core N fans are going to buy it.
Is this the console non core fans want? - I doubt it
Is this going to sell like hotcakes to the bulk of us - depends on price, if its $250 and under..maybe, if its $299 or above...no. It's not that compelling for me.
Nintendo are like Apple, Everytime there is a new release, it sells well because they have a rabid fanbase that sees them as never doing anything bad. ...
Yeah I was at one yesterday and they were out of bundles but had the core headsets with camera and used move controllers plus a free game for $499.99, its a pretty good deal I thought if you cannot get the bundle.
Congrats! :) Thats a good reason to lose some gaming time for awhile!
What PSVR does for me is wish the 4k screens and higher would hurry up and get here. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood has sold me how great VR is.
I have really enjoyed this game, so far my favorite overall experience. One thing I dont like is that it doesnt have a super easy mode for showing it to people that dont game that heavy and later levels get tough in parts.
Core headset available at Amazon, Bundle is not.
A hardware device is only as compelling as its content, and if fresh new content that wows us keeps coming it will be fine. The Wii was a fad because non gamers suddenly thought they needed one causing a sales explosion, those non gamers bought maybe a few games and then never bought any more. Some bought a Wii fit and never used it. There were some decent games but alot of shovelware on the Wii. I don't see the PSVR having the same issues, unless content becomes stale and I dont see that...
You can buy the core headset on Amazon right now, but the bundle is sold out and sold out fast. I bought the camera on a best buy sale for $25 awhile back and bought the two move controllers for $10 each at Gamestop when it was first announced the PSVR used them.
If the PS Pro can give better visuals for PSVR, then it's a home run. If it can render the same graphics on PSVR at a higher resolution with better antialising, that in itself will be a home run. I have a PRO pre-oredered, cant wait.
They cannot with me. They not only killed the game i was most wanting to play, Silent Hills, but were cruel enough to take away the demo from people that had downloaded it previously and deleted it. I'm not the biggest metal gear fan but they treated their star dev the worst possible way. Konami is dead to me.
While today's consoles keep improving on features and getting better each generation, I have to say my favorite was the Sega Dreamcast. I loved my Colecovision and original Xbox and those are right up there, but Sega's Dreamcast was the first console that I had console gaming parties for, the first console that had broadband gaming (and built in modem), the first console with a dedicated VGA adapter, and the first console that really had 32bit color (My PC's Voodoo3 card only had ...
While I agree the game is too short for $19.99, its totally worth it for $9.99 on sale. I expected a scary haunted house game and walked away after finishing being charmed and really enjoying the game.

Had the same problem when I did the demo at a local Best Buy. You have to pull the locks off of each corner and it opens the door. The boxes were not needed and was a distraction.
