Silent Hill 2 is still one of the best horror games I have ever played.
I loved this game, loved the movies as well.
Their followup game was just as good, "the Darkness", but unfortunately never got ported to PC. A shame because its a great game and made with an updated version of the same engine. Sadly, after The Darkness, Starbreeze had a big split, and a bunch of their guys formed Machinegames which did the great Wolfenstein old blood and new order games, and Starbreeze made Syndicate which wasnt that great. Starbreeze now seems more focused...
I'm not convinced that Spec-ops:The Line and Saint's row: The third were underated games, they have a decent following and many people have played them. I would say "The Darkness" should be on this list. It is a fantastic game made by Starbreeze that never got the attention it deserved. The Sequel was fun, but the original was the better game and sadly it never got ported to PC. If you have a 360 its a game you should play!
It has a 720p screen, it doesnt need more than 4GB if it isnt trying to do 1080p. The Nvidia Shield Android tv also has 4GB and the same specs. It's another underpowered Nintendo console, what did anyone expect? It "might" have a 2nd processing unit per the patent which could give it 1080p or home console performance. If that would be the case, the 2nd processing unit could be another Tegra X1 or the new Tegra X2 which would be nice, but im not holding my breath.
I woul...
Absolutely agree. VR offers a immersive experience that a flat screen just cannot offer, and is a major change from standard gaming.
I havent played much of anything else since PSVR released. I understand where he is coming from, but there is enough games and content and I feel satisfied right now.
If the leaked specs are correct, its a Tegra X1, not powerful enough for VR and as powerful as a 2015 high end smartphone using the Snapdragon 810 chip. If its using the Tegra X2 then it could do VR but would need an additional processing unit for 1080p VR, which could happen but would be expensive.
No it's the future of Video games. VR/AR is in it's first baby steps of life, it's only going to get better.
So I know 3 people now other than myself that one one, none of us have had any issues.
Fogging can happen but I have found if you let the headset sit for a bit while on no more fogging, also, using a fan helps as well, even so its not a big deal and I wear glasses.
Audio has been perfectly fine, not using the cheap headphones it comes with, using a $30 pair of Nady headphones.
Your post comes across as trying to play down the PSVR rather than re...
Those were fun days! Before Direct3D there was Glide, and getting a Glide enhanced game was a special thing :)
I'm getting a Pro as well, hope that PSVR games support it right away. Havent heard a whole lot on what PSVR games will benefit on the Pro when it launches.
Why does it need to swallow up Xbox? Cant we just have two nice consoles? I'm getting a Pro and looking forward to the Scorpio. Scorpio sounds more like a radical change from the Xbox One compared to the PSPRO being essentially a double GPU slightly enhanced PS4. It's going ina different direction it seems, and really should be compared.
I have owned it since launch as well as other friends and none of us have had any issues whatsoever.
Absolutely loving PSVR, I am excited for the future of VR. It's almost hard to play regular flat screen gaming now.
I find myself eagerly awaiting new stuff, reminds me of the old days when I owned the original 3DFX Voodoo 3D card and was excited about every Glide API game coming out.
When I first saw that pic, I thought it was a Babylon 5 Shadow vessel..sadly....its not.
After playing PSVR a ton now I can say it's the future. There is just nothing like it, and sad to say, unless you play a quality VR experience, you just dont have an idea of how exactly cool it is. I'm excited for the future VR hardware with better screens and resolution as well as AR. I had a chance to play with a Hololens and it was interesting but not yet as exciting as PSVR. Im looking forward to what Magic leap brings us.
I think Sony should have brought back the navigation controller as well as the move controller, this kind of game would have worked well with that combo. Interesting on the silence regarding the PsPRo and PSVR, they have barely talked about it and I think thats on purpose. I noted that Crytek said gameplay wasnt affected as to re-assure those that PsVR will work just fine on the regular PS4.
It better be cheap and better than the modified Nvidia Shield Android TV meets Shield Tablet with removable controllers concept it seems to be. Nintendo faithfull will buy it but its going to be a Wii-u situation otherwise, though i expect it will probably sell more than the Wii-u, possibly double the amount if this is all there is to it. if it has a 2nd compute unit then all that changes.
If the switch is based on the Tegra X1 and runs the 720p that was leaked, it could play skyrim modified to work with the format. If its using Tegra X2 (in the base unit or in the handheld), it most definitely could. Its a game that was created in 2011 and recently remastered, its not as heavy of a game as say the Witcher 3.
As Bethesda rarely ever releases a game that isnt good, I'll give them a bit of a pass. Ubisoft and Ea though dont need to do this as they dont have the same quality all around.
Silent Hills would have been incredible, Konami killed a game that could have been a masterpiece.
