Just because it has a portable mode, doesn't mean you get to call it just a portable. Fact is it works in a lower power mode when undocked, which by definition means it is not primarily a portable device.

An additional dock is an accessory. The dock that comes with it is part of the home console. The Kinect is not necessary for the Xbox to work, however the dock is necessary to unlock the true power of the console.
The switch isn't a handheld with an option to display on a tv. It is first and foremost a home console that can be played in a low power state on the go.

Mind you 32gig of storage isn't much, however your game most likely saves to the cartridge and you don't have to install it to the device. Also its way more powerful than the Wii u, ps3, and Xbox 360 packed into an optional portable device. Your pointing out and dwelling on its flaws, but ignoring the fact that its not horrendously weaker than x1 and ps4 and it portable. I would say Sony, but Microsoft had a good year as well. As a whole though we the consumers had a great year regardless of which console we own. Both had a great year, Sony obviously a bit better, but as an Xbox owner I have nothing to complain about
Fantastic idea. Personally I love my Xbox and find it nice to have the freedom to play my x1 games on my pc if I choose. I can't because my pc is way out of date, but if I upgrade my laptop it'll be like having a portable x1. I don't see why options are such a big deal. More is better, or is that saying out dated now?
