Well it makes sense if you factor in the fact that it's been in game preview on the Xbox for over a year, than 4k on x and 1080p on pro makes sense. The game has been optimized and programed for far longer on PC and Xbox than it has been on PS4. It's an indie studio, more time and money from Microsoft= far better product on their equipment. If Sony had a preview program and the game was on their system I would bet that the pro would be optimized for a bit more
@segata
It did happen with the movie Prometheus
@magnus
You don't need really good internet. It's not a streaming service like psnkw. You download, play, delete, and repeat
No one is pushing this. It's just another method of getting games to the players. It's a service that gets games into the hands of players. By your logic Sega channel, game fly, netfix, Hulu, steam, Vudu, Amazon prime, and the countless of other services past and present that are similar to this are a waste. You may not get it, and it's probably because of your age and preferred console of choice, but that doesn't mean it's evil. Do some research and educate yourself
@fallenangel
It's a service that for a small fee gives you access to a rotating game catalog. I don't know what is so hard to understand and why you would dislike such a thing. It's extremely consumer friendly. There's a hug variety of games and you have the chance to check out games you probably wouldn't have bought or at least wasn't factored into your gaming budget. I like. It to the Sega channel of my childhood.
It's not the future of gaming, ...
Dante's inferno is back compat
I get all the Ea sports games for the price of one with access so I'll save the 17 bucks.
Same mode names, huge resolution difference between the two systems
I haven't had a playstation since the ps4 first came out. May have to get this model and I'm a xbox player.
I think what the dev was referring to as true 4k resolution is that not all the games that have native 4k resolution on either mid gen console has the 4k assets to go with the resolution setting. Which is true. So yes they reach 4k resolutions, however their not truly able to reach 100% 4k because of the assets being of a lower quality.
At least that's my take on this article
Cant argue with this article.
@razor
Yeah beacause they actually stated when they announced the xbox one s that part of the increase in the CPU and the tweaks to ram bandwidth was for the soul purpose of having hdr.
Also the ps4 had 2.1 compliant 2.0 hdmi ports and the original xbox did not.
The xbox one was never designed for 4k support or hdr support of any kind while the ps4 was.
Maybe you should educate yourself and actually learn why the oh ps4 can do hdr? If you were to do that yo...
@Razzer
Because the original wasn't designed for it. Hence why they no longer manufacture that model .
Why you keep asking why? I mean it common sense and knowledge as to why
Perfect! I hear it's better and my tv supports both
Wolfenstein 2 really deserves a better article than this
Nice
Good question, no clue
"Yeah we're designing a next xbox... should do 4k at 60fps"
"OMG the world is over, dont buy any kind of x1!! They're building another gen console right now so I better wait a few more years"...
Man people are sure over reacting.
It wo t be hurt.
It wasn't even a next gen announcement. He acknowledged that they where building a next gen box. For christ sacks they typically do a 4-5 year engineering process. More than likely how the design got the x components came about
@sunspirit
I don't understand why you'd want a controller that doesn't have the choice? Problem with the PlayStation controller as a whole is that once the battery goes bad your done. At least with Xbox you have the option of replacing the battery. However, MS should sell the console with included plug and play accessory. You spend that much money you should at least get the rechargeable batteries with it. But keep the abbility to swap/change batteries
