Meh, Grinding gear already did this with Path of Exile... not to mention last year's halloween decapitated character microtransaction.

There are no other proper racing sims on either console. This will stay relevant no matter how long they delay it because console gamers who want a good sim have no choice.
As long as it's entertaining, I don't mind. I don't play COD multiplayer so as long as they have made a solid action packed SP campaign, it'll be a good redbox rental for a weekend and move onto something else.
The poor review scores already reflect the quality of the game. The PS+ version will only allow people to confirm that without actually paying for it.
Evolution hopefully are fixing their game and the servers before they release a free version.
Framerate is the LAST thing that they focus on.
Regardless, it should be assumed that this game will be coming in pretty hot. I'm going to wait a week to see how the PC version runs before deciding to buy or wait.
Re-master a genre-defining blockbuster franchise that brought in millions upon millions of dollars in sales for the new console? Why on earth would microsoft do something like that?
Well... he ain't wrong. AC's collectibles are terrible.. especially when they run away from you.
No its running at the same res/fps on both consoles because that's all that they are capable of producing.
If anything, they could probably unlock the frame rate on the ps4 but from what a rumored to be playtester for the game said on Neogaf, both the console ports are currently a mess in terms of performance and he urged buyers to either wait to see how the console versions are at launch or just get the PC version (which he implied was running great).
co...
It was delayed early on because it was originally supposed to be a PC and last gen racer. When the decision to drop old consoles and build for next gen consoles was made, it added a great deal of time to the development process.
I'm in the PCars early alpha testing. It's FAR better of a game than dclub. There are little small graphical bugs here and there, track textures and some replay camera positioning elements that are the type of things they're polishing up.
The core game is done and it's awesome.
No. The developers have specifically stated that it will be 1080/30 on ps4 and basically "whatever the hell the xbox can manage" which will most likely be 900/30
Gamers need to understand this. Ubisoft regarding AC unity are planting false seeds of info that hopefully most gamers see through where as the FC3 devs and driveclub devs are basically saying the consoles are not powerful enough to deliver 1080/60 with next gen visuals, only PCs can do both.
FC3 was REALLY well optimized for PC. My not that new MSI laptop ran it @ 1080p/60 with a mix of high/ultra settings.
No but it will be worth playing for the first time ever on PC. SO glad I held out.
Good to hear. I'm still not preordering though.
Those who have gotten hands on with the console builds recently have said frame rate is awful.
I don't know if ubi bit off more than they could chew or simply are having a hard time getting a stable frame rate but if the game is legitimately having problems running @30fps @900p, I can understand that it would be the best option on the table right now for consumers to just get them a smooth playing game and work on further optimization post-launch like black flag.
People are going to try the PS+ version, realize that it has a lot left to be desired and move on. Maybe project CARS or eventually Gran Tourismo will give the PS4 guys a racing game they can be proud of.
Wait and see purchase for me (as usual with all ubisoft games) but if the PC version got gimped by proxy, I'll skip it. It's not like it's going to offer anything revolutionary that the rest of the AC games haven't already done.
We will most likely never see that from Crytek. Don't worry though, CD Projekt Red's got our back.
Option 3 - buy a PC and have as many P's as your hardware can handle.
