Realistically, they would have to port it to PS4 as well and that would eat up more development time and their main focus right now is on fallout. Given how similar fallout and skyrim are technologically though, one would assume getting skyrim running on PS4 would be easy now that they have fallout running on the system.

I'd like to see it happen. Skyrim on the old consoles looked atrocious. Getting it ported up to the new machines with better draw distance and texture q...

Looks exactly as I expected after hearing that it was built essentially for last gen consoles with a slightly tweaked skyrim engine.

The good news though is that all the mods for skyrim will, easily translate to this game so we should see the UI, texture, lighting and static mesh mods (easily the biggest and most important must-have mods for skyrim) pretty swiftly on steam workshop and the fallout nexus.

I can't wait to see how this game ultimately turns...

The engine is absolutely ancient and unfortunately their type of open world game has soooo much shit going on, it would be a monumental task to build a new engine from the ground up that can hang visually with games like MGS V, Witcher and far cry AND manage to handle all the crazy dialogue and scripting that their type game needs.

I'm honestly really impressed with how far they have managed to push that old ass engine and we all know how good skyrim with mods looked. Fa...

Hahahahahahhhhaha! Have you heard of skyrim? Google search for skyrim PC 4K and realize how wrong you are.

Did you not play skyrim on PS3? It was a joke. PC version allows you to use console commands to get past buggy quests and broken scripts. Not to mention that there were numerous community patches for skyrim, fallout 3/ new Vegas and all the expansions that fixed a LOT of stuff that Bethesda never bothered to address in any official patches.

Console players simply get what they are given but since Fallout 4 is built on the skyrim engine, it will be familiar out of the box to...

We don't care about sales, we care about all the amazing mods that we will get and console players won't.

Here you go. The last good THPS game we'll probably ever have.

Still no word on increasing download speeds?

My ps4 downloads patches and games off PSN at about 1/4 the speed that Steam grabs stuff and the PS4 is hard wired to the same router.

Meh, if you're pissed about it, just buy the PC version and use a trainer or something.

Not true. MGS V runs incredibly smooth on even low spec gaming PC's ($500 budget builds) Fox engine scales amazingly well.

I played ground zeros on both my PS4 and PC and ended up getting MGSV for PC simply because since that demo came out, I upgraded my video card and can run far higher resolution than PS4.

No one is impressed. It looks fine but the fact that new consoles cannot run it at 60fps is hilarious. I'll stick with the PC version that's been just fine.

How about faster downloads from PSN. It is wired via Ethernet right next to my PC yet only downloads at about half the speed of steam and origin :/

No, they can't.

Yeah but I bet you don't have to turn this thing on it's side for the controller to work properly...

A PC game shipping broken on release? SURELY you jest!

You forget dark souls. locked @30 fps and only 720p and still tragic frame rates in blighttown.

And here is a prime example of why steam refunds are a necessary thing. Too many gamers getting burned by terrible ports.

Meh... I'll play it at 4K 60fps on PC instead.
