I remember the lag on Battlefield 2 with 64 players and that is running on a T1 cable, same with Battlefield 2142. I'm actually playing MAG right now and there is no lag on the game so far and my PS3 is running on my home network that has 3 PS3s, 2 PCs, 2 Laptops, 1 Xbox360 all running through a pipeline supported by Comcast.

Actually it is Microsoft that is forcing developers to charge for content! An example is Burnout Paradise, they were able to deliver so much free content because they wanted to bring that content to the PS3 where they choose to enhance the value of their games instead of nickel and dime for everything.
Sony wants to deliver as much content free as financially possible where Microsoft made me pay for everything. Why is Pac-Man free on PS3 and 400 points on Marketplace?
Everyone should buy their Microsoft points in Dollars which is the cheapest value per a point. With the Australian Dollar / Point ratio being the most expensive, meaning that everyone is getting ripped off. Atleast with the Wii and PS3, if I'm buying something for $4.99 or 3.49 euros than I'm getting it at that value.
Now with Microsoft doing their math, 400 points is not 400 points especially if you get it at retail, or market place, or even Amazon. All values are different and ...

I'll have to agree with you, I just hope that when ever a game gets covered on the media the right context is used and that is what I worry about since they can damage a game's reputation to the public.

Actually the benefit is able to remote access your PS3 from your PSP and get the features that the Sling provides. Just like PlayTV can be controlled through the PSP when you are away from home that is housing the PS3.
If you are in Europe or Japan the DVR function is already there, I'm waiting for that function to come to the States myself.

I played the Japanese version of FFXIII, I like it so far and can only understand 30-40% of it meaning my understanding of Japanese is lacking. From what I got so far; Uncharted 2 has better physics, White Knight Story has a larger world (meaning I can cross with my character, example towns in WKS), and sorry I can not talk about the story just yet.

The Wii is marketed as a toy and so far it is treated as such by the customers.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 are marketed as multimedia/gaming portals and of course are treated as such.
Gaming PCs are labeled as Rigs since they eat polygons and bragging rights.
You can not blame the developers for trying to bring hardcore gaming to the Wii. When you have a hardcore game only selling 16 000 units after three weeks you know you are in trouble.
My PC is designed to run some heavy graphic design projects along with my small farm of 3 other computers and yet I do have trouble like the author sometimes. But after you solve the driver problems and GPU usage issues, running games like Mass Effect, Total War Series, StarCraft, and World of Warcraft is great. My problem is that there isn't as many games worth getting in comparison to consoles that get them by the truckload
