NPD only covers the United States market, not even the whole North American continent. At the same time NPD does not cover numbers sold through every retail for example Amazon.
NPD is good for doing ball park numbers, they are not the most accurate in the industry. If you followed any shareholder reports you would know what you are talking about.

This game is exclusive to PS3 for the simple reason Rockstar owes Sony a title or more than $20 million dollars.

I remember watching the announcement of the price for the PS3 and was so shocked that Ken Kutaragi started to blue and the ceiling started looking all pretty all of a sudden. Those groups are going to love it when they see something like this and even with all the Wii jokes already out there things like this are ripe for it to go out hand.
I truthfully all ready to buy this game on the PC through Steam yet they announced on the last few months that there will not be any PC support. That blew my hopes since Mass Effect 2 is also on my PC.

Xbox 1080 can handle the licensing fee for BD since they already pay royalty fees to the DVD Association which Sony is a member of. For every single Xbox 360 and game sold a few cents goes into Sony's coffers.
Money is going both ways in this industry, every Final Fantasy XIII sold on X360 has money going to Sony since they own 10 percent of Square Enix. Where as every Sony Vaio sold, money is being passed to Microsoft for Windows 7 and so on.

What I like about Resident Evil the movies is that it did a better job than Street Fighter, Mario Brothers, Double Dragon, and especially Dragon Ball.
