Well even if a game was made from the ground up for the Wii, the install base is not doing their job in buying great games. They are spending more money on Wii Sports and Wii Fit than on games like Mad World, Goo, Muramasa, Red Steel, Dead Space: Extraction, and even Metroid 3. The same goes for DSi, more people spend money on Pokemon than on GTA: Chinatown, The Day Ends with You, Kingdom Hearts, and Professor Layton.
I'm going by sales figures since the article fails to mention...
I talk about the game being downgraded all the time, even though that didn't stop me from buying it. I still have 3 copies of Final Fantasy XIII coming to me and will play through all three of them and the 1st being the Japanese PS3, than English PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. This is going to be a three way comparison to me since not only is PS3 vs X360, but also English PS3 vs Japanese PS3 versions.
Oh God please keep the English version 1080P also, I've seen Final Fantasy XIII in...
If that is porn than what have I been watching?
The best way to make the company think about their pricing strategy is to buy the game used. Since a used game doesn't count as a sale and the money goes straight to the retailer and not the company that made the game. I know it is bad that they do not get any money, but for a cash strapped consumer I can understand their hesitation on big products.
Who wants to pay $93 for Final Fantasy XIII (JP) like I did? Tony Hawk's fake skateboard cost more than a real one, why do we let t...
I'm a techno whore, I want to try everything that runs off of electricity.
What happened to being the definitive racing simulator this generation?
I'm sorry to everyone in the East, those dating sims will not help you land the opposite sex.
In addition look at the time period they posted on the article. October 3rd for 2009, Media Create presents data to the 4th of October and NPD hasn't even posted the official tally for September yet.
I like to see how VGChartz is making up numbers again... The numbers are again not backed up legitimate resources like NPD and MediaCreate and still try to paint an overall brush over the industry.
For example how is the Xbox 360 gaining world market share when it is being outsold by both the PS3 and the Wii. The numbers of consoles sold for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 do not match my share holder's reports from both companies. Actually VGChartz has them selling less than what ...
I do graphic design on my computers and for the price of a console in comparison there is no ground. Especially when you are facing facts that a PS3 CELL can compile data faster than a Corei7. There is no major standard to game coding for PCs, hence the numerous patches that comes out in comparison to their console counterparts and the minimum specs are insane (Assassin's Creed PC, Gran Theft Auto PC).
I guess everyone forgot about the PS2 vibrator only released in Japan. ^_^
Even though PC gaming has the most potential for gaming graphics, physics, and ray-tracing elements thanks in part of new graphic cards every 3 to 4 months. They also use the hardware in the most inefficient form possible, for example look at the minimum requirements for games like Assassin's Creed and Gran Theft Auto IV in comparison to their console version. I'm not just talking about HDD installs and RAM requirements, just the simple fact of how it stacks data on the GPU and is processed b...
WoW will die when Universe of Starcraft comes out...
Just enjoy the other MMORPGS out there, me personally I'm willing to give Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Trek a swing.
So when is it the Wii's fault?
Gaming addiction is actually what made me successful, since this hobby is very expensive one needs a job that can pay for it.
@Xbox360
Where did you get your numbers?
White Knight Story sold more than 400 thousand units on the first week alone and Valkyria Chronicles went to the top of the list twice (2nd was when DLC was released). Get your numbers straight...
Come on their definition of exclusivity is that if you put on tunnel vision than you won't see what the competition has also. It isn't limited to gaming, they use the word exclusive to describe how Bing, Word, and even how Windows operates. Plus they are all timed any way since you see other companies like Google, Apple, Linux (Project), SunMicros, Sony, Lenevo, and others getting just the same or in some cases even better than Microsoft.
N4G had articles today of people protest...
HDD wars, what couldn't we get something better than that?
My PS3 at home has 1TB and the PS3 that travels with me is 300GB and they were both cost less than $150. My problem is my 120GB HDD for the Xbox 360 cost $150, how much will the 250GB cost when it is finally released?
This site is NSFW, but why are you looking up games while at work? Got the gaming itch, solitaire not good enough, I feel your pain.
I wish I thought of that...
Maybe this isn't unique to the Japanese developers as Castle Crashers and Braid are heading over to the PSN too.
Paying money to get time exclusivity, keep doing it, we as shareholders of these companies are happy to accept it. Me personally I can wait a year for the better version anyway, well I have to play all the versions anyway since I review them too.
Cry about your wallet, than buy the game when it gets lower in price. That's what I do...
