This is the part where PC gamers pretend that because PC R&D will improve architecture while consoles remain stagnant, every PC gamer ever updates their hardware monthly.

PC, as a platform, is more powerful than consoles. PCs—the machines people actually own—are generally on par and cost considerably more. But they do more than game, so it's worth it.

(Obligatory preemptive fanboy defense: I game on my PS3 and $1600 PC ... and like six other systems, ...

Than the managers at your GameStop should be fired; more so than this chick.

You've never worked retail, have you? Or worked anywhere, for that matter.

It's not funny if you're an oversensitive, paranoid dickbag who'd rather cause a scene and stroke your ego publicly than enjoy a game.

Japan gets Vita TV Q4 2013, and the EU/NA regions get PS4. Sony will see both of their new consoles work in opposite parts of the world, then be able to apply the successful marketing tactics learned to the opposite in the coming months/years. Meanwhile, the original Vita will cry in a corner with its blindingly superior (to the Vita 2000) screen.

Vita TV, innocuous as it may appear, is a direct and mobile answer from Sony to Microsoft's push in multimedia, and one that will explode when Gaikai comes into the 2014 picture. The portability will make any streaming opportunities incredibly valuable for the little box, which is to say nothing of the low entry point for a handheld console. (Though, I'd still rather spring for a Vita.)

Signs of fanboyism/bandwagoning: 1) Having the N4G username "thetruth," or any variation of it (especially adding "x1" to the mix); 2) Citing an indefensible and no doubt self-serving definition of "real gamers" as fact; 3) Barking at fanboys of the opposite company.

I started working as a games journalist nearly a year ago, shortly after graduating high school. (Don't ask how; I just got lucky—which, coincidentally, is as important a factor as networking in the industry.) As a gaming sophomore in university, I love my job. The pay is better than any minimum wage job I'd be able to find (provided my freelance schedule is stable month-to-month), I get travel opportunities and free games, I plan my own hours (to some degree) as an independent contra...

Alright, that's a bit of an overstatement, mate. Just a bit; a smidgen; a dash, even.

She reminds me of Shinji Mikami's work on Vanquish over at Platinum Games: needlessly sexy and combat-ready. I am not opposed to this, provided it doesn't detract from the tried-and-true MGS formula.

The article is literally about how nothing is decided and that both consoles are competitive and relevant. The author points out that the PS4 is going to win November. That's it.

If by "a monster of a CPU," you mean the exact same CPUs that people have been running for 4+ years, then yes.

Techradar vs. N4G:

Techradar used Flamebait!

It was super effective!

N4G used Comment Section!

It didn't quite connect!

So, because Sony is an enormous corporation and a leader in the games industry, they aren't allowed to have their network beaten? And if their competition does have a better network, they aren't allowed to improve theirs?

If you're going to be a fanboy, at least choose a side before trying to form an argument.
