Hey look, every Polygon article summed up in one headline!
"According to rumor" goes in the headline for stories like this.
If you think great games can't learn something from even the worst of games, you're criminally short-sighted.
That headline is a wreck.
Well of course it's valuable experience if you're looking to work as, say, a game developer or games journalist. But it still has no place on a resumé; it's not a work-related skill, and it is not impressive. Your knowledge of and experience with gaming is something to be brought up casually in an interview, not something you boast about from the get-go. And even then, you'll only want to bring it up if you've read the atmosphere and know it will fit in.
Gaming doesn't do any better a job of ingraining valuable, work-related skills than basic social interaction or exposure to other mediums such as books and movies. On the whole, it is not a skill, and if you put in on a resumé, you will be rightfully laughed at. Professional gaming, too, while certainly skill-based, is only relevant in the eSports scene.

No, this is proof that anyone can do games journalism poorly.
Gorgeous? You're kidding.
A shotgun and a retractable scythe makes for more of a Van Helsing vibe than a next-gen Souls release. Still, I'm not complaining.
It's finally happened: DualShockers is so obsessed with technical specs that they've started posting headlines they don't even understand.
"not a real Dark Souls gamer"
Pretentious incarnate, right there. You clearly didn't understand the article.
How in all the seven wonders of the world can you like the direction Capcom has been heading in? They've been bastardizing every series except Monster Hunter (because all they did with the IP was default on a rerelease)and nickel-and-diming customers at every opportunity.
All right Dualshockers, we get it; you love screenshots and trailers. But switch up the headline vocabulary every now and again, will ya? Surely EVERYTHING can't be fantastic and incredible and so on.
"Unknown site"
GameZone is in the top 20,000 sites in the world, and peaks in the top 5,000 during heated seasons. Check your facts, and eat your words when the interview mentioned in the article goes live.
From the Disqus on the article: "I realize this. The point I'm making is that Nintendo is latching onto mobile IP and markets in an effort to bolster its console standing—in this case, that of its 3DS. Perhaps I should have made that clearer?"
