More is great but they need to be good. What's the point in having on ocean of exclusives if they all suck? They've shown some great titles, and if the old "best for last" comes to play at Gamescom this could be a huge impact for Xbox owners. And an even bigger impact if the trend continues. This is going to be a good generation, I can feel it.
Can't wait to try it out. Started my download minutes after it was up. This was my favorite game of 2012, a new IP takes balls these days and Arkane studios outdid themselves.
If this is half as good as The Knife of Dunwall then it's bound to be good. If you haven't tried this game yet pick it up and play it, it's worth every penny.
That many? Really? Well if Microsoft was really up to that and showing it all of at Gamescom that would be killer. Microsoft is finally starting to understand the core players again, lets just hope it lasts unlike the 360.
You do know that Microsoft had no choice right? The NSA gets what the NSA wants, for all extensive purposes, they're above the law.
Think of it this way, try launching a peripheral with the launch of a console. Say goodbye to all the money you spent on R&D. Complain all you want, including the Kinect was vital for it's survival in the gaming market. The exact reason I don't expect the PS Eye to be around much, first adopters of the consoles don't generally want peripherals.
Ever played Bad Company on the PSN? Horrid. PSN is slower, you just have to deal with it. Sony hasn't put the money into it yet, but now that you need PS+ for MP on the PS4 I can guarantee they'll pump money into the PSN infrastructure so it works better.
XBL Gold offers a faster, fluent, and better online experience, PS+ comes with free stuff, at the cost of a really bad online store, and multiplayer lag. It'll be interesting to see what both do this generation, I'd like to see XBL Gold come with more free stuff, maybe discounts weekly. (totally reasonable it won't happen at launch) And PSN needs to have anything requiring internet improved, including voice chat. It's simply a mess.
Proof it's crashing.

I'd give it another chance if it was like Call of Duty 4 with the problems of that game fixed. Throw in some servers, better gun balance, and you have an alright multiplayer. Nothing amazing I'd still rather play Battlefield 4, but it would be worth playing if you got it cheap, say $30.
The gaming industry as a whole is also in a dive bomb, it's making less money every year. People might want next gen consoles, but overall sales are slipping because people aren't buying at all, and it's not going to change when next gen consoles come out. This generation will be the slowest adoption rate yet.
The Wii U is losing it's 3rd party support because they've moved to greener pastures (stronger hardware). Nobody has taken advantage of the pad because nobody is taking advantage of the system, plain and simple. The could easily bring tons of features for the Xbox, it's just dependent on the developers, and lots of developers are working with the Xbox so the Kinect might come naturally to some, especially when they have a guarantee everyone will have it.
For the first adopters $500 should not be a problem, especially with what you're getting. Gaming is a luxury if you can't afford it I don't care.
Games is a whole new ballpark and Microsoft better stick with it the entire generation rather than the first half and then drop it completely. They've done good so far, but it'll be interesting to see what games they will support with 4-5 years down the line.
I got that kit too for both of my systems, it's fantastic, doesn't look half bad either. I'd like to get the next gen version as well.
The NSA gets what the NSA wants. You think Microsoft had a choice? Not a chance. They can be dirty sometimes but the NSA is whole new level of evil. They're above the law in the USA, and nobody bats an eye.
Trolls, flat out. They don't know how hardware works at all but because somebody can scream a bigger number louder they automatically assume the other is dog shit. Children will be children I guess, glad I won't run into them on Steam or XBL, I'll only have to play with them on my PS4 games. The hardware is very similar, closer than the 360, and PS3.
With the exclusives, the multiplats will look practically identical. To even compare multiplats would prove someones absurd fanboyism. It's graphics, you know those things that don't matter when compared to gameplay, story, hell even the sound track.
Why do I even bother, this article is just flame bait. The Xbox One has great looking games, who cares if it's a few pixels short of the PS4. Graphics are far advanced enough, I want to see gameplay getting improved ...
They'll be identical for multiplats, it's the exclusives of each system that will push the graphics.
You didn't even own one? Then why are you talking? You have no opinion here, you haven't even seen both sides. No matter what everything you say is biased.
Are the butt hurt stealth trolls going to tell me why I'm wrong? Or are you just going to keep on throwing the disagrees on because you're mad? Bethesda could pull it off, easily. It's the only company I'd want to even attempt it.
No it means it's a safety measure because Microsoft can't risk doing the RROD again. It WILL NOT overheat, it would entirely cripple their gaming division, and they're not about to do that with the money that they make.
Why would anyone be mad about a safety feature, you know there are still morons that put their consoles in confined places and never take them out, or clean them. This is simply saving those idiots from a console break down. Any console can overhea...
