@ kgeisler
You sure you guys just didn't get scared of launching in such a packed month? :P lol
No one would blame you, March has a lot of other highly anticipated titles releasing. A whimsical game like Octodad shouldn't get threaten by games outside that genre much.
Guess we'll just see what happens.
VG looks pretty legit to me, PS3 outselling X1 makes a lot of sense considering all the titles still coming to it. It's got so much life that it's hard to believe the PS4 is able to do so well.
MS stuffed the retail chain to inflate their sales numbers, meanwhile Sonys still having a hard time keeping up with demand.
The reason X1 looks like it's selling well is because they have a million or so consoles sitting in store shelves. Retailer are offering incentives because they can't get rid of them.
When was it said that Lily Bergamo and Shadow of the Beast would release in 2014? That'd be sweet but I just never read that.
This list is lame for including basement crawl which doesn't look good by any aspect, visually or game play wise.
2014
The Order 1886
Infamouss SS
DriveClub
Deep Down
Transistor
GT7 Prologue if it's real
Creature creator and fiend arena tournaments?
Wtf, did X-2 have this/have this in japan?
I think devs just get tired of being asked to make sequel after sequel of their popular game. They all want to do something different but get pressured into going where the cash is. If these devs were given some freedom they might not leave for the more freedom having indie lifestyles.
They're cheap sequels, their entire purpose to to reuse game assets to squeeze more money out of the property.
The god of war dude (David Jaffe) and the gears of war dude (Cliffy B) both did it, the megaman guy did it, level 5 is trying to shift to mobile titles, capcom, Square Enix (to a degree), Peter Molyneux.
There's lots of people within bg companies that have purposely stepped down to work on indie titles. Way more than "2 people".
The article:
"concerned about this trend whereby the likes of Ryan Payton, Robert Bowling, Tim Schafer, S...
Agreed, Titanfall looks fast-paced and fun but that's just one game. PS exclusives interest me way more but if MS get a lot more games that looked that fun and are exclusive I might pick an X1 up some day.
So far they have:
Titanfall - Online only and still $60
Killer Instinct - Free 2 Play, needs more characters
Below - Indie title (but I really want it)
He's probably 13.
Wtf, I like Justin Beiber...
It cost too much I think. Or they signed some console deal with nintendo and can't break it till it's up.
You're "surprised it looks better on PS3" compared to the Vita? That doesn't even make sense. Vita graphics look great on that small screen but they don't really compare to PS3 titles.
Lol, they saw Rime first and rejected it!? That's hilarious. I can pretty much guess why though, it seems like a single player only game, story focused. MS prefers games with multiplayer or online co-op so they can force Live Gold down your throat.
Then again they do go after some good looking single player games. One thing MS has that I wish sony had seen first and grabbed was that indie title "Below". It looks awesome and cleverly designed to make you feel li...
Lol, I wouldn't be surprised if this continued to be the case. Fast ports are more cost effective, the main lore of a PS3 port is the user base but with this being a gen still in its infancy with very few titles to choose from compared to what's on the PS3 it makes selling your game to a large number of people that much easier. Less competition = higher sells.
Easy porting
Self Publishing
Less competition
= $$$$$
She already looks evil lol, could swear they said she was [Spoilers] murdering protesters when they first meet. [Spoilers/]
"Fetch" is her name, actually makes it sound like she's gonna be Delsins Bi*** lol
Not the best name for a female character.
The article have all said that he basically takes her under his wing as an apprentice to his good or bad deeds.
LOL @ this article basically saying this game isn't a system seller or comparable TitanFall for X1 at the end.
This is a true exclusive, guess we'll see in just over a month, hopefully Sony will be able to produce enough PS4s for the comparison to make sense.
I'd say a frontrunner would be Amazon or Apple. If Sega had the money they might try to get back in the console business.
A very clear option/possibility would be a huge publisher like Activision or even EA.
This interview was pretty entertaining.
