The two games are VERY different, PS3 gamers aren't "butthurt" over getting this DLC because
1. We knew this before launch and still bought the PS3 version.
2. it was late even to the 360 party.
3. We weren't happy with our version of GTA4 to begin with and many believed it was gimped because of the 360s dvd format + no HDD standard.
There aren't going to be many GTA4 buyers %wise that give a crap about this coming to the PS3 and to those that DO care,...
That's an awfully lot of HDD space just to avoid those "1-2 second" loads time when picking up weapons (among other minor fixes).
Good thing you can delete the install after you're done with the game. Bad press wise, they really should have just delayed the PS3 version a month or so.
It's attach ration is phenomenal, of course it's sales are slowing down, everyone has it.
I didn't know Japanese gamers were so into FPS, how many sales total does MW2 have in Japan?
It's a niche game, you can't expect everyone to like it or expect much of it.
Bad company will be the biggest seller Q1 with FF13 and GOW3 trailing second and third
Quality wise, I expect GOW3 and Mass Effect to have the highest ratings but anything can happen in reviews and BC2 may jump in there too.
In any case, this seems to be one of the best looking gaming years in a loooooong time. I wish all ambitious titles the best, hopefully they don't all eat ...

Hopefully Sony keeps the ball rolling and I look forward those "final nail in the PS3s coffin" type comments ending. I know they're less frequent but they still pop up from time to time, especially on other, non-gaming sites.
It's good they didn't get too cawky and list it as the rumored $999 that everyone was afraid of.
The next gen or the one after that should be nice, possibly with USB ports and maybe even some sort of video out feature.
I DID enjoy the fight against Death in the Dantes Inferno demo. It was really well done and visually pleasing but that was about it.
As far as God of War clones are concerned, I'm pretty interested in how Castlevania - Lord of Shadows turns out.

And I agree, I don't think any multi-platform game should have DLC that's exclusive to one system.
I would think they must be ignoring FF13 and WKCs because they launched in japan already in previous years yet 3D dot heroes released last year too.

Mixed BS reviews, many people gushing over how great it is while others (ESPECIALLY the gaming media) downplay it with excuse after excuse that don't match up at all with what the people playing it are saying.
It's SO ANNOYING!
We all know MAG isn't for everyone so match that with the fact that there's less PS3s in america, it's a new IP versus an established one and this story screams "I'M MR. OBVIOUS!"

All I'm wondering is if this makes the PS3 loose its load-with-every-weapon-I-picku p draw back, compared to the "seamless" 360 version.
I doubt an install option could fix ANYTHING else but that and maybe texture pop-ins (if that IS an existing a problem).
A patch like this won't fix any AA, screen-tearing or visual problems.
The game launched already, "too little, too late" is the perfect saying for this situation.
Most PS3 owners would welcome Gears to their console though I'm %99 positive that wouldn't be the "face melting news" ClffyB is talking about. Gears 3 info most likely.
The only negative thing I've heard PS3 owners say about gears (gears 2 specifically) was that it was unfair that review scores didn't down the game for launching with a buggy online multi-player (which was later patched).

I meant how many years/months will it be before the final game in the trilogy to be released. I thought that was OBVIOUS.
It's from Bioware and they're a solid developer in my book.
I just wonder how long we'll be waiting to find out what these new games are.
