Bionic Commando Rearmed was great. It was a hard game that tests anyone's patience, but fun. I can't wait to see what they do with this one.

There is one gamble you didn't mention, advertising dollars.
Microsoft obviously paid for the FFXIII commercials and that cost some serious money. Sony had no commercials and went off brand association.
We may never know how much Microsoft spent on the advertising and promotions but I'm sure their cut of the sales from the game paid off somewhat.

Wait. The people speaking biggest on the side of SC:C who say the game is great and longer than 5 hours pirated the game. The studio is making no money from their biggest cheerleaders, no wonder developers hate piracy.
It just seems like a slap in the face to Microsoft.
When a developer says a game is 10 hours, most gamers who come to this site will finish it in 7-9 hours. Developers always add a little more time. They always add getting all the items and doing all the extra's to the game time.
This game has a short single player but they designed the multiplayer to offset the difference.
The game is really fun when you get the fully powered unlimited ammo shotgun and magnum. Makes the work of getting through the game worth it when you can seek revenge on those bastards who dare killed you before!
What this means is all the movie studios support Sony's ideas and system. Unfortunately this doesn't directly translate to success, but it does at least tip the odds a bit more in Sony's direction.

They probably dropped the Tomb from Tomb Raider because she probably won't be digging though tombs and caves. The title wouldn't make since. Also, Lara is the star and they want to make sure that is known.

Well remember, there was a hacker who used old PS3s and said they completely hacked the unit. Shortly after, there is a cyber attack on the PSN that takes down all old PS3s. Connection between the two?.......hmmmmmm
I agree that it was frustrating to run that long trek to the battle only to get shot down and have to wait again. But what that told me is before I run out to the battlefield, I will stop behind cover, check the map, look for enemies before preceding. I stopped getting killed and the game became fun, I mean at work thinking of strategies fun.
Regardless of what all the bad reviews said, in reality, this games #1 feature really is that it is fun. This game is a blast to play...

This sounds like time exclusive. It looks like Microsoft demands that they must keep quiet about any other versions of a game until a certain date when they can announce it. Looking at this reaction and Rockstar's reaction right before they announced the GTA IV content on PC and PS3, its like they want to say, but cant.

Yeah, it will look great and run great, but it will not be as good. People knock the sound saying its not that important, but the sound of the game or movie make the experience. Watch a movie in the theaters with a bomb system and one with a cheap system and you feel the difference. For those who do not have surround sound, buy surround sound for your games, you will love it, it is worth it.

Not just with this game but this issue is going to get worse over time. It will be 3 discs now, then 4 discs, then 4 with a mandatory install and not all 360 owners have hard drives. Microsoft is working on a way around it or doesn't care because of the very soon Natal casual gamer push.
You don't need more internet friends, just play and get used to the shooting at first and you'll end up with a good group of players. Then make them your friends. Your gaming friends do not have to be someone you are talking to on the playground or at work.
Plus Im sure you can go to MAG's official forum and look for other players if you want to find other players. Fun will never find you, you have to go find fun.
Dude, that headset thing is a rumor. You do not have to use a headset in the future to play MAG.
