I guess it isn't noted that the world market did terrible in the last few days, all stocks were effected, not just Sony.
For everyone who says a company doesn't know how many units are sold, that is incorrect. Retailers can easily track sales for items, that does takes in account returns. I worked for a couple multi million $ retail stores and when they said, lets check lifetime sales of this item, it took minutes for the info.
Plus we could also check who bought them, when they bought with them, the add-on rate for accessories by percentage and by dollar, how much profit was made over ...
Does that mean you're going to E3, because Microsoft already said no cameras or video at the Natal event.
I think it's funny how game critics hated the first game and I found it interesting and fun. I come here and it seems like most people, not all, but most enjoyed the game.
I agree that the vehicle controls were great in GTA IV. To drive well in that game, drive in first person. It's like driving a real car plus it's easier to avoid the other cars on the road.
I like it when you are driving full speed in first person view then ram into a car head on, sometime Niko will fly out of the car. One time, the person in the other car flew out and landed on my windshield. So great!
"Every E3 MS uses multiplatform games to showcase 1/2 or 3/4 of their presentation. Sony on the other hand uses ONLY PS3 exclusives for their presentations"
Last year, Sony had Assassins Creed 2 at their press conference.
Thats funny, cause I hate using a keyboard and mouse. Personally, I've always found it counter intuitive for gaming. Im a good ole fashioned controller guy, always have been.
Now for a guy like me who hates a K&M, this may be the bridge I'm looking for to get the "great accuracy" of a keyboard and mouse, yet keep the controller in my hand.
The load times was fixed in Bayonetta also, by a patch. It can be done, but should have been done before release.
I'm not getting the game, but at least you don't have to race the same 16 tracks over and over again. The track count will be endless, and if that still isn't enough, you can make your own track.
The first Mario Kart was great (super Nintendo), but not as good as the 2nd one (N64). The 2nd Mod Nation (if they have one) will be better than the first, like LBP2 will be better than the first, like Uncharted 2 was better than the first.
"This would be the same as Sony removing the ability of my PS3 of playing SACDs or reading Memory Sticks."
I wouldn't have a problem with them removing it if that SACD feature could allow someone to hack into my PS3 and obtain my account number, credit card number, personal info, etc.
If it's truly for the safety of using the platform, then it's good. Especially if were talking the theft of stolen info. Imagine if they left the featu...
Maybe because MAG really did out perform Heavy Rain, or maybe because MAG came out first and it has sold more for that reason alone.
You are right, so if GoW did 1.1m in the US, and Mass Effect did 890,000 in the US, and ME did 1.7 WW, then GoW probably did approx 2 mil WW.
Sounds right to me.
Makes me wonder, if they did release Mass Effect on the PS3 along side the 360, how much more sales would Bioware have had.
So some in the gaming press say this is a Wii stick for Sony, and some fans say the same. Yet these blogs from regular users who get a chance try it always say it's way better than a Wii and it does so much more.
So should gaming journalists hold their tongues when passing judgement on new technology until they can try it for themselves?
This article is silly. Not have Jack Trenton host, you kidding. E3 is as much for future investors as much as it's for casual and hardcore gamers. Kevin Butler is great, but if you need to continue to sell Sony to the business world and business press, having someone up there joking the whole time doesn't work. Jack's up there selling the Sony Playstation brand. Kevin Butler should probably do a part of the conference for the hardcore fans, but Jack needs to do most of it. ...
If we could sue for not getting what we paid for, this world would go to shhhhh. I could buy a CD, and if I don't like every song on it, I could sue the artist and label for false advertising. Sega would get sued for having frame rate issues on a game someone bought. Apple would get sued for not having flash on the iPad or iPhone.
I cant say which way this case will go, but if it goes to the Supreme Court, and the plaintiffs win, then all product producing industry...
This article is not right. First they say "average vision." What is "average vision?" 20/20 or worst. Are people with huge eye prescriptions being counted with a person with perfect vision? If so, then that brings down the average.
These arguments always come up, and I honestly believe it's a marketing thing. We're told 720 is fine, but that info comes from salespersons trying to sell people TV's they can afford. Also, when a person i...
I think it's vindication. PS3 users have been crying this for a while, and only recently, with articles like this, does it seem the gaming media, press and industry foks seem to be confirming this.
This shouldn't be news really, but it is apparently.
Not everyone wants to game on their computer. I am one of those people. I've tried to game on my PC's before but just couldn't get into it. I've gone as far as hooking up my pc's to my Tv with usb controller but just couldn't get into it. I'm not a PC gamer and there is no game or feature that I could use to justify buying a computer for gaming. That is not an insult to PC gamers, it's just me. The PS3 is an awesome gaming machine, so are PC's and some like one, some like the other. Th...
When this was first announced, all the reports said this game is multi-platform.
There sure has been a lot of anti-Sony articles lately, meaning articles that are designed to put Sony in a negative light.
Why put in the article the servers are still down when the game is not out yet? Servers up when the game is released to the general public.
