The Gamecube hardly sold anything in Japan i think it's Nintendo's lowest selling console in the region that's one reason to the PS2's high install base, that and simply more people in the region played consoles back then than they do now, most Japanese gamers have moved to handheld's have you seen the 3DS's sales in the region ?
The reason being most Japanese gamers tastes have changed considerably to the point in which they prefer the really niche, o...
This is absolutely awful, how much is a mans life worth these days I hope they catch this scumbag, my faith in humanity has dropped.
It's an amazing engine for sure, but I'm curious as to why very few developers are adopting it in the same way UE, and ID tech were widely used.
I haven't been to Gamespot in years but I remember the System Wars forums was the Stalingrad of fanboy wars my god that was brutal.
I would rather them revive Mods vs Rockers, for those that don't know it was a cancelled beat em up game based around the youth subculture brawls in 1960's UK, it was basically a spiritual sequel to The Warriors one of the most underrated gamesof the last 10 years.
I fail to see the point of this article, while you could argue that the Wii-U has a "better" launch, what relevance is that of now and of what relevance would it be in 6 months for the XB1/PS4 ?
The Wii-U having the "better" launch and Super Mario 3d World doesn't make up for the massive black hole that 2013 has been for the console. We're not going to see that with the PS4/XB1 because besides those consoles still having games to release in 2014...
Damage Control at it's finest.
I was thinking more about worldwide I wonder how many PS4's would have sold by March
Even more so it's the Gamestop in NA alone
Scissor Runner Sony does have "real" platformers, they do have RPG's, they do have adventure games, and what on earth do mean by arcade games ?
Nintendo does need Sony, Microsoft and vice versa, because competition drives the industry, and it benefits the gamers as a whole the Sega Geenesis vs the SNES is a perfect example.
If Nintendo was the only home console manufacture, god forbid we would still be gaming on cartridges, Online would be near l...
I was about to click on the article, but then I saw the website and remembered by it's owned by a well known Nintendo fanboy, so the consoles that's been out for less than a week is already an FPS mecca ?
Not only is that grossly untrue, but if people actually done their research they would know that of all the PS4 games set to release over the next year very few are actually shooters or more specifically FPS in fact a good chunk of them are actually RPG's,, there...
This interesting, but what the deuce is "ambient gameplay" ?
It's great news for Sony and an indication that they've learned from the mistakes of the PS3, a huge improvement. But lets hope they can keep this up in the long run, are they making a profit with each console sold ?
Really? Im currently playing GTA 5 been at it for an hour yet it took me just 1 minute to browse and comment on this article.
What a mute argument.
Even still why does it matter ? This isn't something unusual for a Playstation console, Playstation consoles always kick off 12-18 months post release, I never expected any of these games to be GOTY worthy, I was expecting passable/ decent titles which is what MOST launch titles are.
Besides I remember Perfect Dark Zero when it first released, decent game but a few years down the line and man what garbage it hasn't aged well, point being outside of a few exception...
A real gamer is open to games across all platforms, and will desire to own as many consoles/ hardware as they can.
@JamieL not saying I disagree with you but you could have used a better example than FF13, because that game is so horrendous it's a modern art masterpiece.
3) People are still playing GTA V, GTA online has finally started to pull it's socks up
Interesting fact, Sega tried a similar tactic with the Saturn they un expectedly announced in E3 95 that the Saturns were already available for purchase on that day, I think it was set to release on that holiday season but they completely caught people off guard buy announcing it's surprise early launch.
It was a genius marketing strategy on paper, but Sega never thought it though, 3rd Parties and retailers simply weren't prepared, it was a huge mess with hardly any ...
Lool wrong the Wii and 360 were much more popular than the PS3 in the UK so yes it is somewhat of a huge achievment.
And considering the UK is the largest gaming market in Europe and the 3rd largest in the world, calling it a "small market" is a huge understatement, so to correct you it is a surprise, anymore downplaying you want to do today?
