Guys the rumor is referring to current dev kits... it's been explained by someone above, but it looks likely that because of the space dev tool take up and the limit on the current chips for GDDR5 ram, that when the final devkits ship by xmas, they will have 12gb and allow for the full RAM to be utilised... until then it's irrelevant as all the titles for the next year would've been developed believing till a couple of months ago they had a 3GB limit...

Gaikai streaming for such games whilst your download downloads? That should solve the issue as Gaikai only required 300kb/s speeds last I saw so 300kb/s to stream, and whatevers left of your bandwidth to download, not viable for everyone but it solves this open world issue partially anyway.
Not all o fthem, halo and GOW don't appear on PC. Not anymore anyway. And because that'd cost wayy over what I can afford as someone starting uni in september for 3-5 years at least. Blizzard say they haven't had xb1 dev kits yet as such Xb1 version hasn't even begun development so no announcements have been made. Without a dev kit they can't make Xb1 version so as it currently stands it isn't coming to xbox 1 if in the future that changes... Well but atm that isn't the case.
Hmm MAG was good but there weren't enough players people didn't want a tactical game that required large scale teamwork they wanted COD or battlefield to fulfil their shooter needs. Hmmm might be an oversight MS regret not sending them dev kits.... They just gave Sony a free 3rd party next Gen console exclusive... :s seems silly to me tbh you'd expect they'd want to try and prevent giving away advantages to their competitor however small they may well be.
It's same on ps3, quite a few games that are single player do it aswell, mainly because they have stat collection and crap going on I think because some games like arkham city don't stop games downloading, and uncharted 3 s REALLY odd, because it alternates between downloading and pending... ah well I know on ps4 it doesn't block it ingame :) although if you're bandwidth isn't good enough your download would get slowed right down to prevent you lagging.
