you are for whatever reason I can't fully comprehend attributing the layoff's from different areas of the globe and sections as all down to the same core problem which I really doubt, the gaming layoff's last year/year before were likey due to previous titles performances and it no longer being financially viable to give those devs another chance or because the money clearly they felt (and much of the talent in both of these cases went to the other sony studios-zipper,big big etc)...
Can I correct that statement-Phil has been making some bold moves not MS as a whole. He seems to be the only xbox exec actively trying to fix the problems they face...
No they couldn't... zipper was a small team that made one game at a time. SSM is a massive dev, with many teams, some work on games the rest elp out partner developers and other 1st parties and work on the tech side of stiff-the engines for games etc.
Are people on here totally brainless... sony just rehouse SSM and hired a bunch of people for a new IP they've been going on about for awhile I know sony have cancelled a few good looking new ip's/sequels over the years such as 8 days and the getaway reboot but it's rare and not their style really. But they certainly didn't rehouse and hire new people for a new ip to then just cancel it and fire them all totally wasting that investment.... this will have been a different team ...
Projects are cancelled etc and people fired all the time from devs, this is only such a large number because the teams at SSM are so large. Why keep the people and the project going if it's not looking promising and the manpower isn't needed, waste of cash.
@Voiceoftreason look the difference in terms of what you can notice/see is nothing unless you're using some massive TV en the difference will still be slight. % increase means very little when the difference is so small. Like saying 4 is massively superior to 2 because it's 100% higher... total crap.
Can I pint out that the ps4 does I think all but one of those things aswell lol and 360 and ps3 also did most of the same stuff. Also have to laugh because I remember back when sny were marketing the ps3 in not to dissimilar a fashion albeit slightly more emphasis on the games however... :p
Well tbh sales speak louder than BS survey's consider the size of the population in NA- 40k is not enough to give an award and claim "it's what the people think" imagine if the next presidential elections only 40k people accross usa were alowed to vote.... Also the wording for "independently recruited" people to answer the survey suggests that whatever method they had for picking participants it was targeted instead of random. If they'd had people at the entran...
What I find even more ridiculous than his claims: the fact people seem to care if it's 720p or 792p I mean come on negligible difference or what... I can kind of understand 720pvs1080p even 900p being something people complain about however 792p vs 720p... really? LOL
I really hope so...
Either they are already concerned by uk sales OR they are concerned about the competition from infamous bundle...which I think is a similar price?
Swear this is only 20 less than ot was at release with fiffa?
So game sells in early release loads, loads of copies of an unfinished yet potentially awesome game. Then the guy behind it all-who's vision/original creation it all was might be leaving.... -_-
They already moved in that direction though didnt they. The denial he's been in his whole life? Since the childrens home, taking on a potentially fake role as drakes ancestor....Changing/fabricati ng his name. Sounds like assuming thats the villain talking (seems obvious it is) in the teaser trailer that whoever it is knows alot about drake. (Im thinking along sherlock series 2 'I owe you a fall' threat is what that teaser is getting at.
Ammy henning was lead writer on all uncharted games. Neil wasnt involved in the 3rd game at all but him and bruce were head of development on the 2nd and I think 1st? The 3rd the ND team have acknowledged suffered a little bit from being rushed (in igns history of ND article). And no I dont think she did write jak games but I could be wrong.
Doesn't have to be dark and gritty to kill a main character-such actions sometimes give the series longevity. It gets boring much faster if you know everyone will always be alright that sense of suspense disappears. If there is an element of "oh shit they could well actually kill them off" it'll keep the audience more engaged. I'm going to cite Game of Thrones as a good tv example of this recently. Tlou ultimately didn't kill the main good characters but that begin...
resident evil WAS in production though, they even showed a small clip of footage i swear? It became the 3ds resident evil however.
till we finish watch dogs I won't agree that abstergo aren't/won't become the villains. Watch_dogs seems t be all about taking back control, in ac4 it clearly shows abstergo partnering with company that's invented these systems to spy on everyone the ded_sec or whatever it's called. So by extension if someone were out to take that company down and in the system- abstergo would want to assist...eliminate the problem I think. We shall see either way I REALLY want this game f...
"Moody's and fitch" what two companies blacklisted in several eu countries for dodgy changes in the cresit status' s of companies with no legitinate reason and I susoect likely to artificially push share price down to bring it back up for a massive profit later or something.
if thi was because of ,money sony wouldn't have just bought SSM new premises that cost alot of money... nicer and bigger than the old ones...
