Ok I knew what I was getting into although I was concerned to begin with as what was going on was also a little bit unclear and confusing there.
Well if you are going sales (although if everyone was selling at a massive loss the entire time this means sweet f all) then the wii won-but seeing as everyone sort of omits the way from these sorts of discussions (and I can understand why tbh-id didn't get half the multi platform game the other two got.
Now in terms of sale per time then the ps3 did beat the 360 worldwide, however the usa market belonged to Microsft however through their adventure :p
Thing is if in the long run you end up paying more I'd like to believe people would do the maths before purchasing- but I mean look at some of the premade Mac book's and Sony Vaio's that sell.... when they have awful graphics cards, and mediocre processors yet people till buy them despite being technically inferior to laptops you could buy/build for a fraction of the price :p
difference is Onlive went under and the streaming from them was never as good as having the game downloaded :p
yeah the ps4 is suppossed to be able to use Gaikai to start streaming immediatly- then eventually once a certain amounts downloaded you can play off your system files- although they did say that the immediate play might not be available day one, but they did say the 1st part involving GAIKAI might not be a day 1 thing...
Hoping there'll be a vita game at some point- I think he could do some pretty exceptional stuff for a handheld with that hardware and the scaleable fox engine- I mean look at peacewalker :o
he's pretty much confirming next gen there-how else would he have been involved at PS meeting back in feb? :D
And if the games good i tend not to care if it's multiplatform or not- although the PS exclusive games tend to dominate my purchases- annoyed I'll have to get Arkham Origins on this laptop as apparently it isn't coming to next gen but I really want the game, so I'll have to play it with lower setting than the ps4 version would have had :(
At least that's technically a confirmation of ground zeroes and mgs5 on ps4- something he hasn't done yet- if not how else would he have been able to participate in the Playstation meeting in february :p :D
Hmm maybe this will be the Vita title that was apparently originally canned due to bugs? Reborn and fixed? :) It's going to have to be seeing as Killzone is going to be out slightly before it so if it isn't done properly people will see quite clearly its not Vita but lazy developers..
Really hoping it has zombies with proper zombie maps and like 4 plyers, that would be AWESOME :D

tell that to max payne 3... amongst others... and actually Sony would have added ps3 backwards compatibility at least in launch consoles if they could if for no other reason than, that in Japana such a feature is very important to them. However it really isn't currentlly possible to emulate the cell using x86 architecture- not at the moment anyway..

Interesting so he admits if you code for it like a normal pc it's going to be mid range in performance. Now as most developers didn't know what they were getting RAM wise thats what we are getting with the launch window games. However if developers choose not to be lazy and todo something new with the way they code the games-something 1st party studios will certainly do (Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Guerilla Games etc) we should see a significant improvement and at that point the device...
no but if it were the firmware it would have happened to pretty much everyone... Each console isn't unique it's made as part of a batch- each batch should be pretty much identical, each ps3 of the same model type will run code the same way therefore if a firmware is faulty then it would break almost everyones ps3. I guess if your ps3 had a fault that mean that it wasn't running the new code properly then that might cause breakages- but even so that's the ps3 having a fault tha...
They should be afraid of dark souls 2... I mean just think of the number of times your likely going to die right near a boss etc etc- really hope its on next gen aswell because I don't intend to buy any more current gen games after july as when I go to uni I wont have access to my ps3 most of the time, same goes for arkham origins. :/
ummm that doesn't mean anything lol other than their deaths was lkiely due to how you treated them, used them, stored them ec. For it to be the firmware a very large % of all consoles sold would be breaking and all due to the same or similar causes...
not true you can be offline and still play the game,yes you have to have the subscription still valid but as it gives you aceess to the entire back catlogg of games that have been up whilst you had a running subscription.. and it's useful to all of us that didn't buy it a few months ago because of other games like AC3- originally the fact games weren't new enough was an issue,but then when they are only a a couple of months old- they re too close to
yeah but if the console itself isn't blocking it, then software based DRM/anti used games is nothing new... and in that situation it's not Sony that we need to have ago at but the publishers choosing to go down that route.Sony said there would be nothing stopping a disc physically being read by other consoles etc and they personally wouldn't be stopping people but as for if publishers might they didn't want to discuss it....
